[if anyone has attempted to contact Nami to wish him a Merry Christmas, they'll have been informed that the number is currently not in service. this might have something to do with the fact that, inside Nami's trashed apartment, his phone is sitting in a puddle of paintwater, sparking. Nami's nowhere to be found!


there's a frantic Kai calling for Nami as he makes his way through the park. he can feel that Nami's still in the dressing room, but there's a wall between their connection so solid he can't sense anything other than that.]



(ooc: Nami got a heart for Christmas. unfortunately, he's had a lot of negativity 'bottled up' so to speak, and the sudden onslaught of proper emotion wasn't taken well. he's in hiding, having taken a portal straight from his apartment! responses will be from Kai, at least at first, despite the fact that the post is from Nami.)

[Riku's outside with Serein, who absolutely adores this snowy weather. She's not exactly dressed for a long excursion in the snow herself, but she's rushing over anyway when she hears Kai.]

What's going on?

[seasides]

Nami's missing.

[he sounds so distraught.]

I don't know what happened, there was this strange feeling, then suddenly a wall. I tried calling him, but his phone isn't working. I don't know what to do. I checked his apartment and it looks like someone decided to just break everything.

[dawnrise]

[She stares at him, then immediately pulls out her own phone to try calling Nami. It's not just that he's her friend, even though he is. He's her pack, the one person she can really relate to on a regular basis what it's like to be a werewolf. She has so much guilt hidden away for infecting him, for how Nami was treated in the past, for everything she could have or should have done that she didn't. If something's happened to him now, she wants to know what it is, and what she can do about it.]

[seasides]

["The number you have dialed is not in service. Please hang up and try your call again."]

[dawnrise]

[She pulls her phone away to stare at it, then hangs up and pockets it, eyes on Kai.]

Do you have any idea where he might be?

[seasides]

...somewhere he could be alone. That's all I can think of.

[he's gone to Castle Oblivion, for the record. but he's outside it at least.]

[dawnrise]

[She looks worried, but stops to consider places.]

Twilight Town? I doubt he would have gone back to the mansion, but no one ever goes there.

[seasides]

Could be. Can you think of anywhere else? It'll be easier if we spread out between the 'worlds'.

[dawnrise]

Not unless he went to Castle Oblivion or the islands. I don't think any of the other worlds have any connection to him. He could be anywhere.

[She looks off, then turns back to Kai and holds the end of Serein's leash out to him.]

Here. I'm going to open a portal.

[seasides]

Okay.

[he takes Serein's leash, trying not to look too concerned.]

Be careful.

[dawnrise]

[She nods once, then takes that hand and holds it in front of her, closing her eyes to concentrate. It's been a very, very long time since she's been able to open them, or even tried, and the effort is going to make her darkness flare wildly.]

[seasides]

[he stamps down on his light, which was flickering to the surface in agitation, just in case it's impeding her progress in any way. and he'll definitely be available to help calm her darkness after all this.]

[dawnrise]

[It makes her eyes flicker orange and the tips of her fingers and palm darken to a different skintone, but it's only for a split-second, and then a portal rears to life in front of her and Riku hunches over, a hand to her chest.]

[lightofoblivion]

[Man, disturbing his chill out... Frowning, Felicius gets to his feet from where he's sitting and goes on over. Sooner this gets sorted...]

Is something the matter?

[seasides]

My friend is missing.

[and it's pretty upsetting to him, clearly.]

His phone isn't working and his apartment's trashed. I have no idea where he went...

And you don't have an idea what could have provoked this?

[He gives a soft sigh, all sympathy.]

I'm sorry to hear this.

[Well, insofar as 'sorry' applies in his case, but he's nothing if not polite.]

No, I don't. Something strange ran down our connection, and then there was a wall in the way, but I don't know what caused it.

[The fact that Kai mentions a connection gives him pause. That seems more than just friend to him. What's going on with those two?]

If you don't mind me asking - strange how?

[seasides]

I don't know how to explain it, it was just this sudden... rush. It didn't even last more than a second.

So there's nothing that it could lead to, either. [He frowns.] Where have you tried so far?

[seasides]

Just his apartment. It hasn't been very long. I need to check Twilight Town, at the very least.

[lightofoblivion]

Is it a favourite of his? Seems like a good enough start.

..Favourite isn't the word I'd use. Familiar, more like. But yeah, it's the best I can do right now.

Ah. I see.

[He nods. Not knowing the guy's friend, he can't really come up with much in the way of good suggestions.]

It's... it's probably a long shot, but could I ask that you keep an eye out for him? I'm not expecting you to go out and look for him, obviously, but if you happen to see him when going about your business...

[he shifts uncertainly.]

He's- well, he's a male version of the blonde girls that are around. The younger ones with the paler hair, not the Nobody with the antenna style, if you've seen that one, too. But he's older, my age.
