[if anyone has attempted to contact Nami to wish him a Merry Christmas, they'll have been informed that the number is currently not in service. this might have something to do with the fact that, inside Nami's trashed apartment, his phone is sitting in a puddle of paintwater, sparking. Nami's nowhere to be found!


there's a frantic Kai calling for Nami as he makes his way through the park. he can feel that Nami's still in the dressing room, but there's a wall between their connection so solid he can't sense anything other than that.]



(ooc: Nami got a heart for Christmas. unfortunately, he's had a lot of negativity 'bottled up' so to speak, and the sudden onslaught of proper emotion wasn't taken well. he's in hiding, having taken a portal straight from his apartment! responses will be from Kai, at least at first, despite the fact that the post is from Nami.)

I know there's a room full of pillows, too, and other rooms like that. Kai's told me about a few of them that he's found. I think that one a couple of years ago at Halloween was the most interesting, though.

The one where all our injuries from things that happened in the DR got recreated without any actual blood loss or pain or anything. It was pretty creepy, but kind of neat, too.

[She was bleeding SO much, from the hole in her head and her cuts and scars, and the bullet in her heart... Hm. Maybe she should show him the scar she got from Hachibi, I don't think she ever did. Also. If he wants to talk about either of those, Axel will have to bring them up himself. >:|]

[Since Red headshotting her as a zombie was the only reason she was missing part of her head! She leans back into the couch a little, then looks up.]

Hey. I'm not trying to bring up bad things or rub it in anyone's face, but... do you want to see the scar?

From... oh. Sure.

[don't take the lack of exclamation points as a bad thing; he looks pretty interested!]

[She sits up and switches her coffee to one hand, then raises her sweater up to expose her left side. It's a pretty impressive scar, and probably her longest next to the burn on her lower back.]

[he leans closer to look at it, and reaches out with one hand but draws it back before he can touch her, because he's not sure if he should. he doesn't even have anything to say about it, nothing that's at all adequate at seeing what Hachibi did to her.]

[She's not going to tell him he can touch it, but she wasn't going to jerk away or anything. She doesn't leave her sweater up for very long, just enough that he can get a clear picture of it.]

[there's still not really anything to say about it, so he pulls his arm back and leans back to his side of the couch. Hachibi's unsettlingly quiet too, not that she can tell that. she could ask what Hachibi thinks of it, though.]

[She's thinking about it. She settles back down in her seat and looks at him, frowning faintly.]

I'm not going to hit you if you say something, you know.

I don't have anything to say. I think Hachibi's feeling bad about it, though. I can't really tell.

[She looks... Not much like she believes him, but she's not going to say that. She shrugs instead, looking to the Christmas tree.]

I wasn't trying to make anyone feel bad.

It's a good thing. If you ever want to talk to him or yell at him or anything, you just have to ask, by the way.

[since the last time she talked to him was in November. although actually that hasn't been that long, since this is still Christmas Day.]

[But not today. Not on Christmas. She's not going to do that. She looks relaxed now. Also, she never said it was a bad thing, she just doesn't want them thinking she was trying to manipulate Axel or Hachibi by showing off her scar. She doesn't really believe he would feel bad for it.]

[Axel's gonna slide down into a slump on the couch, eyes on the Christmas tree, even though the movie's still on. there's a series of quiet thumps; Apricot's headed upstairs, probably to nap with Nami.]

Whenever. Now we need something new to talk about.

[Oh right, the movie. She's probably concentrating on that now that the subject of Hachibi has come up.]

[She couldn't, which is why she turns back to him. But the realization creeps up on her face in no time, as does a ferocious blush. Screw hitting. She's trying to shove him off the couch with her feet.]
