[if anyone has attempted to contact Nami to wish him a Merry Christmas, they'll have been informed that the number is currently not in service. this might have something to do with the fact that, inside Nami's trashed apartment, his phone is sitting in a puddle of paintwater, sparking. Nami's nowhere to be found!


there's a frantic Kai calling for Nami as he makes his way through the park. he can feel that Nami's still in the dressing room, but there's a wall between their connection so solid he can't sense anything other than that.]



(ooc: Nami got a heart for Christmas. unfortunately, he's had a lot of negativity 'bottled up' so to speak, and the sudden onslaught of proper emotion wasn't taken well. he's in hiding, having taken a portal straight from his apartment! responses will be from Kai, at least at first, despite the fact that the post is from Nami.)

[he looks at the menu he's got to browse the drinks, just in case there's something that is somehow more appealing than hot chocolate to him. there isn't, so he copies Riku and taps on his own menu.]

[She sets the menu aside once they appear, not interested in any food right now.]

I wonder why the restaurants and cafes don't all have this sort of thing, with the menus...

Beats me. I like this place.

[She's not so fond of the weird Nobody/Heartless/Unversed waiters.]

It seems nice.

[better than the ones with those servers, for sure. he's going to look through the menu to see if anything appeals to him food-wise.]

The food's good, too.

[Because she sees him looking. Time to wait for her hot chocolate to cool~. There's probably a bunch of holiday specialty items on, since it's Christmas Day.]

[you know, after he gets stabbed and stuff. he has noooo idea what to pick, and is about ready to just close his eyes and put his finger down.]

[She'd suggest near the full moon, but she doesn't want to deal with Namihormones--]

[oh please, Nami is so in control of his hormones. by which I mean he is over his weird crush by now and would be fine around her for the most part-- um anyway, he's settling on some sort of pot pie!]

[Hey shut up it wasn't weird it was cute. Also excuse me, Riku's hormones make everyone fair game around the full moon, crush or not. Pot pie's a good selection!]

[fading]

[it's a beef pot pie! mmm, beef. also if he knew about that bit about everyone being fair game around the full moon, he'd probably turn red at the idea!]

[According to her body! This is why she avoids people, goodness. On second thought, she's going to pull out her menu again. Might as well get something salty to counteract the cocoa's sweetness.]

[before he starts with his food at all, he's going to take a sip of the hot chocolate, and brighten a little at the taste.]

That is good.

[She grins a little, then turns her attention to the menu. Mostly.]

I didn't doubt you.

[really, honest! he's going to try his pie now. carefully, so he doesn't get burned.]

I know.

[Still! She was right. She's going to get herself a small thing of fries. And by small I mean huge, because non-fastfood fries from restaurants are generally still big.

They have bacon bits on them.]

[maybe he'll steal one of her fries! he tilts his head a bit at the bacon bits though.]

[He's welcome to! There's sour cream on the side, and presumably ketchup on the counter. Don't you question her bacon.]

Nothing.

[he shoots her a smile, then turns his attention back to his pot pie. nothing at all!]

[UH HUH. She looks disbelieving, but just starts on her fries.]

[...now I want fries. :( he seems to be enjoying his pot pie, though very slowly, since it's pretty hot and all. he looks better after that brief nap, too.]

[ikr She's glad he's looking better. She's often hungry after a good cry, and tired, so all of this should help settle him, at least a little.]

[it's definitely helping. she knows her stuff, clearly. he won't be eating the entire thing, unfortunately, apparently not as hungry as he thought he was. but he feels warm and full and fairly relaxed, so he doesn't mind.]

[Not as hungry, or not as able to eat that much in one go? Her fries are delicious, and go very well with the cocoa.]
