[if anyone has attempted to contact Nami to wish him a Merry Christmas, they'll have been informed that the number is currently not in service. this might have something to do with the fact that, inside Nami's trashed apartment, his phone is sitting in a puddle of paintwater, sparking. Nami's nowhere to be found!


there's a frantic Kai calling for Nami as he makes his way through the park. he can feel that Nami's still in the dressing room, but there's a wall between their connection so solid he can't sense anything other than that.]



(ooc: Nami got a heart for Christmas. unfortunately, he's had a lot of negativity 'bottled up' so to speak, and the sudden onslaught of proper emotion wasn't taken well. he's in hiding, having taken a portal straight from his apartment! responses will be from Kai, at least at first, despite the fact that the post is from Nami.)

You probably got it "normally" or whatever. I had to put up with Hachibi heckling me on and off about it for like three years before I figured out what was going on.

[grump. also it's good for you Riku, very cathartic, like a good cry. he does hope Kai doesn't walk in on this, though, that would be hard to explain.]

I got a talk from my mom when I started my period about how you get pregnant, and that was it, and I already knew that. Anything else I learned from movies and other kids. Not that any of that mattered for a while, with what happened.

[She settles down into the couch further. If Kai walked in on any of their conversation for the past half hour she would just ask Hachibi to put her out of her misery.]

Yeah, I bet. But see, normal. Except for the part where you were running around, I guess.

[is he allowed to sit up now. his feet are starting to go to sleep from being elevated.]

If by 'normal' you mean I never watched or read any porn, then yeah. We were still going through puberty when we left the islands, you know. After I let Ansem take over, I stopped having my period for months at a time.

[She shrugs. That's not sex, though, but she's not telling him about having basically no sex drive that whole time, because that's embarrassing to her. How did they get on this, again?]

Sounds pretty reasonable. I found out later on that I'd started the puberty thing pretty early because of Hachibi, because my body was basically running at double time because of him. Bodies do weird shit when there's something else influencing them.

[o okay, he'll pick it up then, since it's empty, and vanish into the kitchen for a couple of minutes. there'll be some general kitchen-y puttering noises, water running, a couple of dishes bumping together, that sort of thing. he's so upsettingly domestic sometimes. he comes back with a muffin, anyway, and a glass of water for himself.]

Both of the fuzzies are gone, they must both be upstairs with Nami.

[In the time he was gone Riku has been forced to find something to concentrate on. That turned out to be the movie, and unfortunately she has no idea what's going on from talking to Axel the whole time, which means she's even more confused than she would be normally watching a movie like this. She looks to be under intense concentration, and does not respond.]

[well, he's not going to be a dick and sneak up on her, so he shuffles around to the front of the couch again and sets his stuff down on the nearby table before flopping down to sit.]

So have you figured out what this movie's about yet so you can fill me in?

[That was quick. She's practically laying on the couch at this point, but she moves her legs to give him plenty of room.]

[he grabs her feet once he's settled again and pulls them onto his lap so she can stretch out again. she might even get a foot massage out of this. P: ]

Oh well. It was kind of on just for background noise anyway.

[She shoots him a look for that, but doesn't move her feet away. He'd better not.]

Also I think the point of these movies is that they don't make any sense. Or something. All I know is that Ri gave them to me because he thought I'd find them hilarious, which I do.

[She just smirks, looking back to the TV. What is even going on now?]

Good enough, I guess.

[something with flying around and kicking people, I'm sure. accusing strangers of dishonoring the main character's family, something like that. also nevermind about the not paying attention, he's going for that foot massage now, through the Christmas socks. P: ]

[Then she's going to jerk her head back around to stare at him, trying to wiggle one of her feet away.]

[rub rub rub. he's pretty good at it, and he's not even looking at her to do it! he's watching the shitty ninja movie and smiling because Riku's his friend and she's awesome for putting up with (most of) his bullshit without hitting him.]

[She's never had a foot massage! Hell, the only time she's had anything like a real massage in the past six years or so was when Red was trying to calm her down after she ate that Namine and infected Nami.]

Nah, it's just that a kick to the chin from a socked foot from the side wouldn't do more than hurt for a couple of minutes, but it would definitely get the point across.
