[if anyone has attempted to contact Nami to wish him a Merry Christmas, they'll have been informed that the number is currently not in service. this might have something to do with the fact that, inside Nami's trashed apartment, his phone is sitting in a puddle of paintwater, sparking. Nami's nowhere to be found!


there's a frantic Kai calling for Nami as he makes his way through the park. he can feel that Nami's still in the dressing room, but there's a wall between their connection so solid he can't sense anything other than that.]



(ooc: Nami got a heart for Christmas. unfortunately, he's had a lot of negativity 'bottled up' so to speak, and the sudden onslaught of proper emotion wasn't taken well. he's in hiding, having taken a portal straight from his apartment! responses will be from Kai, at least at first, despite the fact that the post is from Nami.)

[he's not letting go just yet.]

And for calming him down. I think you were probably the best person to do that.

[She hums, a short, amused sound, and shrugs against him.]

He's my friend.

[seasides]

[that makes him laugh and pull away so there's enough room for him to really look at her.]

Exactly. He's my Other, we're important to each other and of course I consider him my friend. But you're the first person he really knew.

[Riku's pretty sure she didn't do a hell of a lot of good during that time, but she shrugs anyway.]

I like to think we have a connection, even if it's not something like that.

[seasides]

You do.

[he's going to give her another squeeze, then let go.]

Could you take him to my house? I want to finish cleaning, and as much as he insists he can do it himself, he's never had to do anything more than a bit of a spill. Besides, he's exhausted, as I'm sure you've noticed.

[dawnrise]

[Riku nods, hands going to her pockets once the hug's over. She definitely noticed.]

Yeah. He had a small nap on the tram, but nowhere near real sleep. Do you want me to come back and help out with this after that?

[seasides]

If you want. It's not necessary.

[but even if she doesn't help, he can do the Light thing, since she was messing with a portal earlier and all.]

[dawnrise]

I'll call you before I do anything.

[She doesn't think he'll be done by the time she gets out of there, though. She looks back at Nami's door then.]

Time to go be alpha werewolf and drag him off. Have fun cleaning.

[he laughs a bit.]

Have fun dragging.

[She makes a face at him, then ducks closer again to plant a kiss on his cheek.]

Merry Christmas.

[he blinks, then laughs some more, capturing her so he can dip her playfully, only to kiss her forehead.]

Same to you.

[dawnrise]

[She looks alarmed at the dip, but laughs too and gives him one more hug.]

[which he'll totally return.]

Yeah.

[With that done she heads back to Nami's apartment first, hands in her pockets. What's he doing?]

[he's sorting through a stack of papers Kai was nice enough to collect from around the room. some of them are stained with paint or ink, which he's regretting now.]

[dawnrise]

[She makes her way over quietly to tug on his sleeve.]

Come on.

[fading]

[he sets the papers down, looking at her curiously.]

What?

[dawnrise]

We're going to Kai's place.

[Nope, you don't get a choice.]

[fading]

Oh.

[that doesn't surprise him too much. he sighs and nods, readying himself to leave whenever Riku wants.]

Alright.

[dawnrise]

[She'll start heading out now, giving Kai another soft smile as she heads out.]

[fading]

[Nami follows suit, sending Kai a slightly sheepish smile and ducking his head. Kai just grins and waves back, then heads back into Nami's apartment once those two are out.]

[She'll turn to Nami after that, interested in how he's doing. She'll try not to make that too noticeable.]

Think you can handle running into Axel if he's there?

[fading]

I'll have to. There's no way he's not there.

[dawnrise]

...good point.

[She makes a face, but it's just teasing, really. Nami should know they're on good terms again.]

[fading]

And I'm sure he'll thank you profusely for finding me. Possibly with hugs.
