[in a hallway just off the main area, Kai seems to have fallen. one hand is against the wall, nails almost digging into it. his other hand is pressed against his forehead, and he's curled over himself on his knees. his face isn't very visible, but he looks pained and like he's concentrating on something, eyes squeezed shut and teeth gritted.]


(ooc: Meditation didn't settle completely, he's trying to sort his memories. Go ahead and startle him, and prepare for massive amounts of confusion. 8D)

[was just coming to look for you, actually, because I am needy and constantly worried for your safety in this place. hurries over, crouching next to Kai and slipping an arm around his shoulders.]

Hey, you okay?

[seasides]

Nn...

[at least that voice is familiar to both Kais, so it's not too startling- but it's enough for him to lose concentration, making him double over even more, going eerily still and quiet for a moment.]

[stays quiet as well, just rubbing Kai's back gently. Apricot had been following him down the hall, and comes to investigate too, hopping over and sniffing at Kai's knee.]

[eventually he stops clutching at the wall so hard, hand sliding down it a bit as he opens his eyes slowly, staring at Apricot.]

...what just happened...

[brushes some hair out of Kai's face.]

I dunno, you tell me. I was just coming to find you, you've been gone a bit longer than you usually are for meditating.

[Given that she was lurking around the main room herself, it's not long before Riku's rushing over, wide-eyed and concerned.]

Kai?

[seasides]

[and there goes his concentration, memories crashing. sorry if he's not responding right away, Riku, he just kind of doubled over more.]

[Sure thing, just make her more worried. She slides into a crouch next to him, hands hovering but not touching him yet.]

Kai?

[seasides]

[he tenses for a moment at her voice this time before uncurling, looking at her in shock.]

Riku?

[dawnrise]

[That's some confusion mixing into her expression, but she still looks concerned most of all.]

[and wow, that really doesn't help; he looks up for a brief moment, panicked, shaking his head- before the memories get to be too much and he hunches over again with a small, pained noise, eyes squeezing back shut.]

Kai? What's wrong?

[give him a minute for the memories to settle, wrong as they are, before he looks up in confusion.]

...Who are you?

[Well he was all broody and lost in thought, but seeing Kai like that forces him out of that and runs over, looking worried.]

Kai?!

[seasides]

[flinching at the voice and curling over himself a bit more for a moment, thanks.]

What's wrong?

[slowly opens his eyes, shaking a tiny bit.]

...Roxas?

Yeah, I'm here.

[Rests a hand on his shoulder, which is abnormally warm, as always.]

What's going on?

Kai?

[seasides]

[nnnn not another one- I mean. cue the flinch and curl as the memories get jumbled in his head before they settle on the wrong set.]

[he's bending on one knee now, a hand touching Kai's arm tentatively]

Kai, what's wrong?

[seasides]

Nn...

[give him a moment to let that hit-by-a-bus feeling pass, before he's peering up at Riku in confusion.]

[he's just as confused as Kai is, and looking very worried]

Are you hurt anywhere?
