[in a hallway just off the main area, Kai seems to have fallen. one hand is against the wall, nails almost digging into it. his other hand is pressed against his forehead, and he's curled over himself on his knees. his face isn't very visible, but he looks pained and like he's concentrating on something, eyes squeezed shut and teeth gritted.]

(ooc: Meditation didn't settle completely, he's trying to sort his memories. Go ahead and startle him, and prepare for massive amounts of confusion. 8D)

I was on this ship... with some friends... we were traveling and working on a couple different problems, like the Heartless situation and the Organization in one of the Soras' worlds.

[rubs his hand with a frown, freezing and looking down when something feels wrong.]

Where...

[Yep, definitely staring at this point. She's silent for a long moment, studying him.]

Ship?

A spaceship. But not a gummi ship.

[but now he's distracted looking around for his ring ;A;]

I know.

[Moves back a bit, running her hand through her hair.]

What are you doing?

I... my ring...

[;A; <-- this face!]

Ring?

[Sorry, she's distracted wondering how she'll fix this.]

My boyfriend gave me it.

[okay so it's obvious why he's sadfacing now.]

Axel?

[Yes, it is. Riku's frowning, but for entirely different reasons.]

Yeah, how'd you know?

[he's also weirded out by the short hair, but the ring is more important.]

[Blows some of her own hair out of her face, looking down.]

Long story. Are you sure that's where you were?

I'm positive.

[he definitely looks like he's certain, though a little weirded out.]

Do you know what's going on, Riku?

... I think I might. Come on.

[Stands up, holding a hand out for him.]

[takes it without hesitation, despite the fact that this is an unfamiliar place and he hasn't seen Riku in what feels like forever, because. well, Riku. c:]

[Half-smiles when she pulls him up, glancing down the hall and then stepping out of his way.]

Tell me if any of this looks familiar, alright?

[nods slightly, frowning in one direction, and then the other. nothing familiar so far. :c]

[Gestures for him to follow her, slowly starting in the direction of the main room.]

[follows after her closely, feeling nervous about being somewhere new without any of the people he's been with for nearly two years. not that he doesn't trust Riku or anything, it's just really sudden.]

[She could understand that. She's not trying to put any space between them, either, feeling pretty protective right about now. Once they're well into the room and on their way to the kitchen-]

Anything?

Nothing, sorry.

[bows his head a little.]

Not your fault.

[Shakes her head - she won't say it's alright, because it's not, but it's not like he's doing it on purpose. Leads him into the kitchen so they can sit down.]

[looks around the kitchen, hoping something will seem familiar. but nothing does and he sits down, sighing.]

[Good, sit. She's just gonna pace around for a bit.]

Okay...

[lets his head thump against the table.]

I want to go home.

[Stops pacing to lean against the counter, arms crossed.]

... I know you don't remember any of this, but you've been here... a long time.

[looks back up at her.]
