[in a hallway just off the main area, Kai seems to have fallen. one hand is against the wall, nails almost digging into it. his other hand is pressed against his forehead, and he's curled over himself on his knees. his face isn't very visible, but he looks pained and like he's concentrating on something, eyes squeezed shut and teeth gritted.]

(ooc: Meditation didn't settle completely, he's trying to sort his memories. Go ahead and startle him, and prepare for massive amounts of confusion. 8D)

*makes a little face at that*

Maybe he's in their room.

[okay, very surprised.]

The Kai you know has an Axel for a boyfriend, too?

*starts trotting down the hallway to Kai and Axel's room*

Uh huh. Axel's something special called a ninja. I'm gonna give him a hedgehog for Christmas.

[he doesn't say anything to the first bit, because that second bit is distracting in an amusing way.]

A hedgehog?

Uh huh. To match his hair. He's got a hyena already.

[well, that cheers him up, and even gets him to laugh.]

That's great.

Yeah! I gave it to him and he likes it lots. Kai said he likes to snuggle it.

*it scampers to a door and undoes the traps before bursting into the room as noisily as usual*

AXEL! AXELLLLLLL!

[it doesn't look like Axel's in at the moment, though Kai's peering in curiously. the room looks different than the one he shares with Axel on the ship.]

*that's okay because it will be looking around just in case (even under the bed)*

Ah! Apricot! Why are you under the bed?

[-! looks surprised, stepping into the room.]

Apricot?

Uh huh.

*wiggles out from under the bed, Apricot in its arms*

He's a bunny. He's Kai's.

[stares, because wow that looks exactly like the Apricot on the ship.]

Where did he get him?

*has to think about that for a moment*

I think Apricot is magic. Kai said he just showed up, like everyone else does. But Kai had Apricot before somewhere... or something like that.

I have a- version of him, I guess? Back on the ship... Axel and I found him when we had to go down to one world to fix some machines that brought food to our ship.

I suppose that sounds right. Apricot eats meat.

*still holding the bunny protectively because it's not sure if you can be trusted quite yet*

[smiles brightly, nodding.]

Yeah, he loves it. My friends and I went down to have a big lunch on one world, and my Apricot started chewing through the container I was keeping some meat in.

Apricot will eat anything. But he's not allowed to have my cookies.

That's good, he'd probably get fat anyway.

He's already fat. But that's okay because bunnies should be fluffy and cuddly.

*pats Apricot's fat bottom*

[at least Apricot doesn't mind being fat, since that means cuddles!]

I guess so. But if he ate cookies he'd have to start rolling around instead of hopping, I think.

*laughs at that idea*

If he was roly-poly he'd still be cute.

He would be. So how do you know this other me?

*blinks, looking a little defensive*

Kai takes care of me.

[just smiles and nods.]

That's nice of him.

He's not even a cat.
