[in a hallway just off the main area, Kai seems to have fallen. one hand is against the wall, nails almost digging into it. his other hand is pressed against his forehead, and he's curled over himself on his knees. his face isn't very visible, but he looks pained and like he's concentrating on something, eyes squeezed shut and teeth gritted.]

(ooc: Meditation didn't settle completely, he's trying to sort his memories. Go ahead and startle him, and prepare for massive amounts of confusion. 8D)

[the rest of the stuff there isn't nearly as interesting. a lot of the papers seem to be notes, both in-depth and vague, on the rooms he's found. a couple have recipes, a couple are not even notes and just doodles.]

[he'll sort them out then, and occasionally try to figure out what on earth Kai was doodling]

[it's mostly really rough sketches of the people in the DR. there's a small one of Axel playing with Apricot that looks like it's had more effort put into it though, just in the corner of one page covered in other random doodles.]

[he'll laugh a bit when he gets to that one, and tug Kai's sleeve to get his attention and hand it to him.]

[takes the page, brightening quite a bit at it.]

I guess normally I'm a pretty decent artist... I usually play music more than I draw, on the ship.

Maybe you can do both now?

Maybe.

[he's quite thoughtful now!]

I wonder what else you can do that you might not know about.

I'm not sure... and it'd be pretty hard to just guess.

Could you cook on the ship? I found a few recipes here.

Mm, yeah, I could. I've been cooking for years, but in the last couple I've gotten a lot better at it.

Ah.. Here they are.

[hands that stack to him!]

Any of those look familiar?

[looks over the recipes curiously. he recognizes a number of them, but a few he doesn't.]

Haven't seen a couple of these before.

Then the others you do remember?

[he sees this as progress!]

Some of these are pretty old... my mom, the one woman who adopted me, taught me this one.

[taps one of the more tropical-sounding recipes.]

[looks at it and grins a little]

Figures something to do with food would be the easiest to remember.

[chuckles quietly.]

I guess so. I've had it memorized for a few years now.

I only learned to cook this past year or so. It isn't always easy, so you're lucky to be so good at it.

Practice makes perfect and all that. If you're interested in learning at all, I'm sure I'd be happy to teach you some of the stuff I know once I'm back to normal.

Alright. Do you think you'll remember?

[the majority of the things he knows how to make are the favorites of half the Organization members, so he's glad to have the chance to learn something new.]

Hmmm.

[he's not sure he'd remember, so he's grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling down "promised to teach Riku some recipes" and putting it right in the middle of the desk.]

There. Even if I forget, this will remind me.

[That gets another little laugh out of him.]
