[in a hallway just off the main area, Kai seems to have fallen. one hand is against the wall, nails almost digging into it. his other hand is pressed against his forehead, and he's curled over himself on his knees. his face isn't very visible, but he looks pained and like he's concentrating on something, eyes squeezed shut and teeth gritted.]

(ooc: Meditation didn't settle completely, he's trying to sort his memories. Go ahead and startle him, and prepare for massive amounts of confusion. 8D)

[blinks at him, then frowns.]

Dammit, did your memory get erased again?

The dressing room just can't ever leave you alone.

What are you talking about? My memory's never been erased!

[opens his mouth to say something, then huffs a bit.]

Uh... I guess if we tracked down Axel, he would back me up. Maybe Riku. But she's probably still mad at me about the mistletoe thing.

Riku? As in my Riku? She's- wherever here is?

And Axel's here, too... when the heck did that happen?

This place is called the dressing room. It's a crossroads of worlds, times, and dimensions.

And yes, your Riku has been here a long time. Axel too. Almost a year now I think.

[runs a hand through his hair, frowning deeply.]

Most of us have been here between a year and two years now...

[Turns back to watching Kai worriedly.]

So if you can't remember this place... what do you remember?

Last thing I remember was being on the ship. I was heading back from the medbay for a nap...

... wait. Ship? What ship?

Destiny. She's a spaceship.

[Looks away, obviously in thought.]

... why does this sound familiar--

wait. You're the other Kai? The one that Kai has been getting memories from?

[headtilt.]

The uh-- ship that took you to that one world with the giant bears that attacked you...

[Scratches his head, trying to remember everything.]

And you were learning special fighting moves using a paintbrush... and you found Apricot on the ship before he showed up here.

Technically I found Apricot on the world with the bears.

[looks... surprised, though.]

You said this other me was getting my memories?

[Nods.]

The sentient room took the form of an Axel and showed up here. He was trying to mess with the Kai here, and he gave him memories from you. So everyday he tries to meditate to separate them, but I guess it didn't work today.

I see...

[he's familiar with meditation, but not enough to do something to that extent, otherwise he'd poke around and see for himself.]

[Sigh.]

I hope things go back to normal soon.

Well, just to warn you since you don't know anything about this place. It can be dangerous. There are a couple different people that. well. don't like you so much, so try to stay by the people you know to trust, if you can. I'll help you find Axel, and Riku is one of the few female Rikus around, so she'll be easy to find.

[nods, looking slightly uncertain.]

Alright, sounds like a good idea. I'm not used to having enemies.
