[It's a dusky midday, and Zack is standing on a rocky outcropping overlooking Midgar. One hand rests on the hilt of the Buster Sword, whose blade has been driven point first into the ground, and Zack sighs, though the sound is lost in the sudden gust of wind that blows by.

The scene is definitely incongruous, though, as this is Midgar how Zack remembers it, the city standing proud and tall in the distance. Not to mention that Zack hasn't touched the Buster Sword since he died and passed it on to Cloud, and this one's blade is still bright and sharp, unlike the now rusty sword standing in silent tribute outside the ruins of Midgar.

It's all only a virtual simulation, a memory of a time long since passed.

Zack just stands there, deep in thought, and unaware of the fact that the door to the VR room has somehow managed to not slide completely shut.]

[there's someone in the music room playing a cello; she's not particularly amazing at it, but she's still really a beginner, and at least her playing isn't that painful to hear. it's just a simple, somewhat melancholy tune she's reading off some papers on a stand in front of her, looking quite at peace. she definitely wouldn't say no to some company, though.]

[she's walking swiftly down a hallway, looking pretty upset. it's understandable, really, seeing as her boyfriend just told her that he basically had a one night stand. right now all she wants is to see her mother, or her father, or her sister or Riku or Sora or Roxas or home go hide in her room and think about things.]

{ Aeris is laying on the floor, facing up; trying to grab a Masamune and pull it out of her chest. Everything's blurry and confusing, and she's not all too sure why she's still alive and what just happened... one minute she was fighting Cloud, the next minute she was juggling between fending Cloud and Sephiroth off- and now she's dying. Dead, possibly.

How the hell is this Masamune so damn long? She'll keep pulling at it, it'll come out eventually... }
