how is babby formed

[this pregnant female Axel is reclining on a couch in the common area closest to the family hall, dozing a little with an arm draped over the bulge of her stomach. she jerks awake, though, when there's a sudden spasm that kind of hurts. she's dozed off again, fifteen minutes later, when it happens again, and she sits up a little, looking alarmed.]

[has a hand pressed to her stomach, and is trying to get Hachibi to shut up. x_x]

[-uck. despite having, you know, watched this happen to other people and read up about it and stuff, he's still panicking.]

Okay, let's uh. Get you lying down.

[he's immediately over there to help oh god.]

[clutches at him, hauling herself up off the couch and clinging to him for a minute.]

Is this really happening?

It's really happening. Now let's go.

[does he need to carry her. he will try.]

[what no. keeps holding onto him, but slowly moves away from the couch and in the direction of the hall where their room is, trying to stay calmish and keep her breathing steady.]

[keeps a good hold on her, at least, sighing and murmuring encouraging words as they go along.]

[Hey busy people. There is a Riku turning the corner of the hall up ahead, looking very casual and relaxed. Y'know, until she spots the two of them and freezes in place, looking quite startled by the grip Kai has on Axel.]

[hay sup. looks pale and a bit (read: a lot) panicky, and has as much of a grip on Kai as he does on her. you get to ask her for help, husbandu. <3 ]

Riku, could you lend a hand? It's, uh. time.

[sob. yeah, he's trying not to look too panicked.]

[Ohgod. Her eyes go pretty big, but she doesn't need to be told twice. She's jogging over after only a momentary pause, putting on a calm face. For both of them.]

Tell me what's already happened.

Uh. I'm having c-contractions-- ow.

[leans over slightly for another one, hand pressed to her belly again.]

[the panic gives way to worry as he holds Axel, one itty bitty little part of him glad he's not the one going through this.]

[She starts motioning for Kai to get them moving. Axel probably won't appreciate having to move through them, but once they get to their room she can relax and scream and set things on fire like Riku did!]

When did they start?

About... twenty, twenty-five minutes ago?

[oh trust me mister, you won't be feeling that way once stuff starts happening. B| starts moving again, sucking it up and ignoring the pain and uncomfortable, at least until she can lay down again.]

[I'm doooooomed. I mean. keeps Axel steady as they head for their room.]

[Riku's staying close enough, but trying to give Axel room to breathe and move.]

How far apart are they?

Uhh. The first two were about... fifteen minutes apart? But that last one was a lot closer.

[room get.]

You go on, Kai, you'll probably have to get Apricot off the bed.

[regalheart]

Alright.

[lets go of her hesitantly and moves to get bun the fuck out of the way, as well as set stuff up.]

[Don't worry, Kai. As soon as he moves away Riku is offering Axel her own hand. Offering, mind you, not imposing. She won't be offended if Axel doesn't take it, of course, but the offer stands.]

I'm not even going to try asking Kai this. How are you feeling?

["stuff"? takes Riku's hand gratefully, even leaning on her arm a little.]

Well, considering that I'm basically male and had all the right equipment for thirty-six years up to about three months ago, and I'm now about to have a baby... not so great. Pretty fucking tripped out, actually. I'd say it felt like it was happening to someone else, but it hurts too much for that.

*This kid was just trying to ask Uncle Kai something, but when he bursts into Kai's room (grown-ups don't have lives), he gets a panicked sort of look, kneeling to pet Apricot who will start chewing on him if he doesn't.*

Holy shit! Is Uncle... Auntie... whatever. Is Axel going to explode?!

[well, you know, getting towels and shit on the bed. he'd probably been stocking up at this point. and brb having a heart attack when Rikka bursts in. and Apricot will enjoy those pettings, because Kai is a meanie who's taking over the bed again.]

He's going to have a baby, Rikka, not explode.
