[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

[No. She is going to dance. And by dance I mean wobble terribly because her feet do not want to cooperate when it comes to ice.]

[They're no doubt going to fall in a tangle of limbs more than once.]

[She's going to give a very undignified squawk in her throat when she trips.]

[And he'll just be cackling. Yay, skating!]

[She's going to shove him. Lightly. Without removing her hands so she doesn't go tumbling.]

[Maybe he'll jerk back enough that it'll seem like he's going to fall, ha.]

[She will make that noise again and flail and possibly knock into him and maybe end up triggering a real fall oops.]

[Maybe he'll be nice and make sure he's the one that hits the ice. She can land on his reasonably-cushioned-from-winter-clothing self.]

[She would feel terrible.]

[He wouldn't! Pain thing, remember? But if she'd rather fall on her own after that, he'll totally oblige-]

[No, she doesn't mind having a cushion, even if it is a bony cushion.]

[Then when they first actually fall, she'll be landing on him. Ow.]

[Trying to brace herself doesn't really work on ice, and Riku's now wishing she had put on gloves before coming out today. Look at them slide!]

[He doesn't say anything until they come to a stop.]

...You suck at this.

[She starts trembling briefly, but it's just from laughter. It stops soon enough.]

[He shoves at her lightly, just because he can.]

[She'll try and pull herself up. Carefully. To her knees, anyway.]

[He gets up to his knees as well, then gestures to his shoulder.]

[She'll plant a hand on his shoulder and very, very slowly pull herself up, and then freeze in place.]

Nah, I'm good.

[She'll even offer him her hand.]

[Oh, he'll take it, not willing to wobble his way up to standing on his own.]

[She'll try not to slip or slide at all while he does. Fortunately, she won't.]

For what? Sucking at skating? Not like I don't as well.

[He'll get standing then, stretching carefully to remove any kinks in his back.]
