[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

Sadly, I don't have a heating pad the size of my back.

[Maybe he'll put Serein on his back. Does she count as a heating pad?]

You could put some hot towels on there. Or ice, but that won't feel as good.

[She totally counts. Riku's been curling up with her more since it's gotten cold.]

That would probably be a bit awkward.

[Except not, since he can do the skeletal hand thing. But still.]

[She gives him a flat look.]

[Wobble wobble she's never going to make it to the edge.]

[What if he pushes her. In a way that doesn't immediately make her fall on her ass or face, that is.]

[She will flail and reach to grab him for stability, that's what.]

[Dammit woman, he was trying to help you get to the edge!!! Hopefully they won't fall again. Red will just try to move with the momentum of the push so that doesn't happen.]

[LIES. BETRAYER. She is going to fall and die and it will be her blood on your hands. I mean what. Yes, guide her across the ice, that will work.]

[He's at least learned how to keep his feet so he's not on the verge of breaking his ankles every time he moves anymore, so that certainly helps in getting them to the edge.]

[Wheeeeeeeee. She's just going to stay frozen in the position she's in until they get there.]

[Red is quite happy to find that there's no compulsion for him, at least, when they reach the edge.]

[She's practically got a death grip on him as they get there, but once she does reach the edge she lets go abruptly and slips, crashing down on her butt.]

[He winces a bit when she does, ready to help her up again.]

[That sounded pained. Her poor ass.]

Do I need to carry you somewhere?

No.

[She's got it. If she can get on her feet and off the damn ice she'll be fine.]

[He snickers and heads off the ice slowly, moving toward where his shoes are with wobbly steps. Fuck, how to walk after all that falling.]

[She gives up. She is crawling along the ice and off of it.]

[Snort. Maybe Red'll be vaguely helpful and get her boots out for her.]

[That would be so nice. She doesn't even care about getting her actual shoes so much as she does getting the skates off, which she starts on immediately.]

[He'll bring hers over, then.]

[What a gentleman.]
