[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

[Red is quite happy to find that there's no compulsion for him, at least, when they reach the edge.]

[She's practically got a death grip on him as they get there, but once she does reach the edge she lets go abruptly and slips, crashing down on her butt.]

[He winces a bit when she does, ready to help her up again.]

[That sounded pained. Her poor ass.]

Do I need to carry you somewhere?

No.

[She's got it. If she can get on her feet and off the damn ice she'll be fine.]

[He snickers and heads off the ice slowly, moving toward where his shoes are with wobbly steps. Fuck, how to walk after all that falling.]

[She gives up. She is crawling along the ice and off of it.]

[Snort. Maybe Red'll be vaguely helpful and get her boots out for her.]

[That would be so nice. She doesn't even care about getting her actual shoes so much as she does getting the skates off, which she starts on immediately.]

[He'll bring hers over, then.]

[What a gentleman.]

[There's some audible noises from his back as he puts them down near her. Ow. Nothing's broken! But something sounds a little out of place. Nothing a good stretch won't fix in a bit.]

[Sorry, what? She's stopping to stare up at him.]

Are you sure you're okay?

Yeah, I'm just not used to slamming my back onto ice so frequently.

[He twists, stretches, crack crack crack.]

[She winces at each crack. Ugh, that's disgusting. She pulls her boots on fast and stands up, kicking the skates aside.]

Come on.

Alright.

[Don't worry, he's done cracking his back. For now.]

[She gives him another look, then gestures with her head toward the apartments. She is going to lay him down in a hot bath or something.]

I'm moving, I'm moving.

[Jeez. He should fall on his back more often if that's what he gets out of it!]

[Does he have a bath in his apartment or is it just a shower? If it's the latter, she'll haul him to her place.

Or maybe she should haul him to that one room of hot baths. But nearly all of them are scented. Does Red want to smell like sugar cookies?]

[He does not want to smell like sugar cookies, but he totally should. He generally doesn't do baths, and his apartment just has a shower.]

[She's going to think about it before they ever reach the apartments, and she'll grab his hand to tug him along.]

Come on. I have a place to show you.

[He moves along with the tugging no problem, wondering what brought this on.]

[She lets go of him once they reach the entrance of the apartments, then heads straight for the elevator, trying to remember what floor it's on.]

... It might not be your thing.

Well now I'm worried.

[No he's not. He's actually just more curious now.]
