[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

[She's technically way younger. A few tentacles are out of the water behind her, flicking lazily from side to side, like a cat's tail.]

I was going to play with Riku.

You know, it's usually polite to ask before "playing" with someone. Just because they're naked doesn't mean it's an invitation.

[She pouts, then leans forward.]

[Apparently Riku's speaking for both of them.]

[Or Kairis. Or anyone aside from Riku, honestly.]

And yeah, but we didn't know you were here. You didn't exactly make it obvious anyone was here aside from us.

I didn't know I was supposed to. Lots of people come in and they don't say anything to me.

[But she looks so disappointed that they don't want to play with her. She's trudging out of the water, though, heading for the door.]

Humans are so weird.

They probably don't even notice you're there.

[He rolls his eyes, but obviously he's not about to stop her from going.]

[Kairi shrugs and waves with her tentacles, perfectly content to leave, even if she is disappointed. She'll find someone else anyway! Riku is tense as hell and won't move at all until she's out the door.]

[Once Kairi is gone, Red almost looks amused.]

Well then.

Alright.

[Way to Dawn vanishes and she relaxes, but she looks kind of like a drowned cat.]

I'm done. I'm not getting back in there. Last time I had a run in with tentacles they wanted to impregnate me. I'm done.

[He snorts a bit at her reaction, though he can't really blame her for it.]

So get in a clearer one.

I guess that's an option...

[Nope, she's going to slide down so she's lying between the pools and just stay there. Okay, she'll get up in a minute.]

[Well be that way. He, at least, is getting back into his pumpkin-smelling pool.]

[She will slide up after a little more of her pity party and switch to whatever pool is next to his. Whatever's clearest. Gingersnaps, maybe.]

[Red is okay with that smell. He may even like it a little better than coconut, but don't tell anyone.]

[Riku thinks it's okay. She's probably never eaten ginger cookies before. Who knows? Slowly but surely she'll manage to relax again. Hopefully Red can, too.]

[Oh yes, he definitely is. The hot water is great for his back, a shower wouldn't have compared at all.]

[She's going to sink down until part of her face is covered. Not her nose, though, because she still needs to breathe. The gingersnap smell will probably overpower the coconut completely, but she doesn't really mind, even if she can't place the smell herself.]

[Once they've been relaxing for a bit he'll shift up enough so that he can speak without getting water in his mouth.]

How you feeling?

[She gives a slightly muffled hum and sits up, staring at the ceiling.]

Warm.

[before]

[He snorts a bit at her answer.]

That's good, right?

[dawnrise]

It's the only thing I care about.

[But she'll draw her arms out of the water and fold them across the ground so she can lean against them like a pillow. Warm, soothing water makes her sleepy.]

Easy to please.

[Yeah, he could totally fall asleep in here. And then drown. No, uh. He's definitely staying in for a little longer though.]
