[ Riku would like to think that, one day, she'll get over this. She knows she's herself now, no one else, but there are times when the effects Ansem had on her really make themselves known. And she's really getting sick of this neverending cycle. Especially when even her skin changes colors.

She's kneeling just inside the entrance to Halloween Town, bent over so far that her hair brushes across the ground. Her forehead rests across one arm for support, fingers digging into the dirt, while the other hand clutches at her chest. Her altered appearance aside (and we don't mean her normal black costume), there might be something more worrying about this picture. There are Shadows rising from the floor around her. ]

I know. It's been happening for a while now, I just--

[That is her Keyblade vanishing abruptly, startling her.]

[before]

[He looks fairly surprised by that, too, mostly because she seems startled and that means Something Is Wrong.]

[dawnrise]

[He shouldn't be worried about it. But he should be worried about the fact that the Heartless are all springing at him as she lowers her head.]

[before]

[...Are you kidding me. SIGH alright, pulling out his knife.]

[dawnrise]

[She's really got to teach him how to fight. She doesn't summon her Keyblade again immediately, though not for lack of trying - there's a second there where she can't seem to before it appears, and she swipes through the slowest two in one swing, turning her eyes on him.]

Get back.

[before]

[Hey, he could take Shadows, he's not that pathetic. But he is stepping back, at least.]

[dawnrise]

[Oh he's free to fight them, and he probably should, since one is about to leap for his chest. Riku's forcing herself up into a stand so she can get rid of the others.]

[before]

[He cuts through it pretty easily; one on one with weak things, he's just fine.]

[dawnrise]

[Good! Riku's pleased to see he's not completely hopeless, and once the Heartless are gone she'll turn to face him.]

[before]

[He'll just raise an eyebrow at her, crossing his arms over his tits chest.]

[dawnrise]

[She stares at him for a moment before her shoulder slump and she dismisses her weapon.]

Don't be surprised if more of them show up.

[before]

I won't be.

[Frowning quite a bit.]

[dawnrise]

I'm not calling them on purpose. They like to show up whenever I'm... unbalanced.

[She looks incredibly uncomfortable, and might just be talking for the sake of talking, so he doesn't ask more questions. But she also reaches up, ripping that half-blindfold off of her head.]

[before]

I see.

[Well, to be honest, he's concerned enough about her at the moment that he doesn't really care about questioning her that much.]

[dawnrise]

[She drops the blindfold to the ground and runs a hand through her hair, scraping her nails against her scalp audibly.]

Guess I should go.

[before]

...anything I can do? Get you something?

[He really does look concerned here.]

[dawnrise]

[She hesitates, looking upset, then shakes her head and looks down at her hands.]

There's nothing you can do for me.

[before]

[He huffs, stuffing his hands in his pockets.]

I'll bring you something to eat.

[dawnrise]

[--she looks at him suddenly, expression confused.]

What?

[before]

[Shrug!]

I can't do anything for you, so I'll bring you something to eat so you don't have to go out in public like that.

[dawnrise]

[She looks surprised then, almost startled, and her expression closes off. She doesn't sound mad when she speaks, though. Just... down.]

I don't need you to do that.

[before]

Maybe you don't.

[Doesn't change the fact that he's willing to do it.]

[dawnrise]

[She shrugs, and this time her tone is bitter.]

I've got no reason to stay away. Nothing to hide. Everyone knows the story.

[before]

Just because everyone knows the story, doesn't mean it doesn't bother you.

[dawnrise]

No, it doesn't. But what's the point? I don't...

[Curls her hand into a fist.]

I don't even know how long I'll be like this.
