[ Riku would like to think that, one day, she'll get over this. She knows she's herself now, no one else, but there are times when the effects Ansem had on her really make themselves known. And she's really getting sick of this neverending cycle. Especially when even her skin changes colors.

She's kneeling just inside the entrance to Halloween Town, bent over so far that her hair brushes across the ground. Her forehead rests across one arm for support, fingers digging into the dirt, while the other hand clutches at her chest. Her altered appearance aside (and we don't mean her normal black costume), there might be something more worrying about this picture. There are Shadows rising from the floor around her. ]

Probably go after it. Even if it's someone from the dressing room, if they're trashing shit like this, they're probably a little out of control.

[Riku makes such a face at that, and starts walking again.]

Here's hoping it's not a Saïx.

Don't jinx us.

[That sounded teasing though. Time to head for the hill~?]

[That's where she's going, and she snorts at that. It better not be one.]

[It's not a Saix, no worries!]

[Well, where is whatever it is?]

[Looks like it's just darted out of sight on the other side of the hill, howling again. Faito times?]

[If they must! It's not like Riku's the type to pass up a fight. She's moving for it.]

[Well once they're close enough, there's a werewolf, looking halfway between the classic movie wolfman and a real wolf, snuffling at a spot on the ground and growling lowly. It won't be more than a couple seconds before it notices them, at which point it snarls and charges.]

[Werewolves are not something Riku has ever found particularly scary, but she is suddenly aware that she does not enjoy having one charge at her. That would be a shield popping in his way.]

[It slams right into the shield with a short, somewhat pained but mostly pissed howl before it charges again. If it is anyone, they're kind of stupid. Red will just uh. be here. Behind Riku a bit.]

[Just don't trip her over! Riku's got zero experience with werewolves, but Saix is close enough, right? Which means Keyblade combo time and lots of focus on defending herself. And Red.]

[Not going to! Werewolf is not pleased at all by all this, and seems to be generally ignoring the Keyblade- though it is doing damage.]

[Good to know. She'll be trying to put some space between them, too. Funny how it's now that it occurs to Riku that it might be good to avoid those teeth, for more than one reason. How exactly does one become a werewolf again?]

[Through saliva or blood entering the victim's bloodstream, I believe. Careful, Riku, those teeth are big and it has an awfully long reach--]

[It'll be getting a mouth full of her Keyblade for a moment, then, as she tries to hold it back. It's obviously faster than she was expecting, and she didn't go into this intending to murder it - she was hoping to stop it. But if she needs to kill it to save either of them, then she will.]

You better not let that thing bite you!

[Not that he's got anything against werewolves. He just doesn't want Riku to have to deal with it on top of everything else.]

I'm not trying to!

[But it's probably way stronger than her, physically. Will shoving it back grant her any time?]

[Maybe a couple seconds, but not much. It'll take more than a shove to get it to really back off for even a minute.]

[Well, then, a shove followed by a dark aura. Just to piss it off more, you know.]

[The damn thing is starting to look rabid, if it hadn't already. It's back to attacking in a frenzy once it's taken a moment to shake itself off. Red's getting tempted to get between Riku and the wolf, since he's positive his body would just flush the infection out if he got bitten.]

[That's what you get for letting her do all the fighting! Riku's regretting never getting the chance to fight Saix, to be perfectly honest. The closes she's come, well... that wasn't a fight, and he wasn't berserk. He wasn't himself, as far as she's gathered since, but it doesn't matter.

That frenzied attack is met with more Keyblade combos, but she can't block everything, and gets sent down roughly by that last attack.]

Shit!

[He's trying to distract it, or get between them- both, ideally, but he's too late and the werewolf decides this is the PERFECT MOMENT to tear her apart--]

[Getting pounced doesn't surprise her in the least, but it takes very little time at all before Riku's actually screaming. Out of pain, sure, but there's a very noticeable underlying fear to it that's going to get louder the longer she's down. Fuck strategy, she's going to blast the wolf in the face.]

[Well, that gets it to back off as it howls in pain, and Red takes the opportunity to fucking jump the damn thing, knife out. That thing is getting stabbed. Like, a lot. It's worn out enough for him to be able to hold on without taking too much damage, thanks to Riku's fighting, and so he'll be distracted by that for a bit.]
