[ It's like something right out of a horror movie. Aden's standing in the closest bathroom, completely uncaring about the open door in light of the fact that the place is covered in blood. There's a lot of it, covering part of his face and both hands, having dripped down his front, and it looks like he's the one responsible by the way it's splashed up in the bathroom sink and splattered across the mirror. Normally, this would be a perfectly acceptable every day deal, but Aden actually looks disturbed and uneasy. Which means this is definitely not your normal every day deal. ]

[Fuck. He only uses that tone when he's serious, usually to tell her to stay out of any fights.]

[Kira recognizes that tone immediately and tenses up, wondering what's going on]

I... okay...

[He puts a hand over his mouth, hanging over the sink, wide-eyed.]

I'm okay. I just-- need you to stay back.

I'll... I'll stay outside. But... do you need anything? I can get it for you.

[considering the blood stink is overpowering Aden-smell, Inaya's actually surprised to see who it is when she peeks in the bathroom.]

Aden, what the hell? What happened?

Nothing. Just stay out.

[He's got one hand on the mirror, smearing red all over it, and he's not looking at her.]

Okay. Are you hurt? I can go get Dad if you need me to.

[she is so incredibly worried now, and zombies are admittedly the first thing that's coming to mind. she really needs to quit playing so many zombie games.]

No, don't! Don't get anyone!

[That thought bothers him a lot, enough that he jerks in her direction, eyes wide. Don't worry, he's still perfectly alive.]

[she's pretty sure Kai could kick Aden's ass in a fight, but okay.]

Fine, but I'm not leaving until you tell me what's going on. You can close the door if it would make you feel better.

[the smell of blood has attracted your uncle from halfway across the DR, Aden. that strong a smell usually means someone's horribly wounded, and considering what a team he and Kai make, where he spirits the wounded party home super fast and then Kai fixes them, following the scent of blood isn't an uncommon activity for him. but he looks surprised at who it is, and moves right into the bathroom to get an arm around Aden's shoulders in case he faints from the inexplicable bloodloss.]

Back off.

[He's gripping the edge of the sink hard enough that his knuckles are turning white underneath the blood, and gritting his teeth, which are currently red from it. He tenses immediately when Axel gets near him, and even more when he touches him. Axel will probably be very aware of how Aden has to physically restrain himself from attacking Axel. He should also be aware that most of that blood isn't his. It's not from any one person, though.]

No. Tell me what happened, if you can before you try to attack me.

[yes, he can tell all of that now, and is tightening his grip on Aden just in case. he's considering all the possibilities; vampirism, zombies, sudden addictive cannibalism, etc.]

[He's glaring pure acid at Axel, and probably looks a lot more like Red right now than Riku. He swipes at him, not intending to do damage so much as get him to move away.]

[nope, that arm is getting bent up behind Aden's back quick like a bunny, and the other wrist is getting gripped in a tight hold.]

Too damn bad, now talk.

[blood used to mean an easy meal for this guy, but not anymore. he's been out exploring, and peers around the edge of the door, rearing back a little when he sees the mess in the room, and that it's someone he knows. rather than asking dumb questions when the injured party may or may not be bleeding from the mouth, he eases halfway into the room and touches Aden's shoulder, concern written all over his entire body language, hoping for some sort of insight into what happened and if he can do anything to help.]

[He flinches away from the touch, cringing hard and shaking his head. There's not a hint of malice toward him, though.]

Don't touch me.

Alright. Are you hurt?

[he withdraws his hand immediately and edges back slightly to give Aden some space. he's pretty much the calmest person Aden's going to get here, almost clinically so; he knows from experience that when someone else is possibly injured, panicking isn't helpful.]

No. Not like that.

[Thank god for the non-humans! He probably feels a little feverish, but he's not flushed at all, or anything like that. But he's very grateful for the space.]

Iss there anything I can do? I know you are unussual for your kind, but thisss cannot posssibly be normal.

[you're welcome. he's still blocking the entire doorway, and doesn't even realize that this may be a good place to be, for the benefit of everyone else in the dressing room.]

[Well now, this is unusual. Red is putting aside his general dislike for things related to future him (meaning Aden, sadly) to look in with interest.]

[Holy shit, way to scare the hell out of him. He flinches back hard and stumbles, nearly crashing into the wall before he catches himself. Then he realizes which Red this is, and relaxes considerably.]

Fuck. Don't do that.

A bit jumpy today?

[He looks extremely interested now, looking over Aden with a critical eye. How strange!]

[He mumbles it, sort of, sitting down on the (closed) toilet shakily.]
