[Axel's in the game room today. he got started playing Kingdom Hearts with Kai the other day, but as soon as he came in here just now he realized he probably shouldn't play on his own, without Kai to explain things to him. :|a so he started poking through movies and things to watch instead, and up on a shelf he found his current entertainment.

he's sprawled all over the couch, feasting out of a large container of what appear to be chinese takeout spare ribs, and he's watching... porn. guy-on-girl porn, which would explain why he's still fully clothed, and watching it with the kind of detached interest people watch doctor's office waiting-room TV with. feel free to come in and join him, or be horrified that he's watching porn where children could see (the door of the game room is still open), or be a child and come in so he can demonstrate his horrible parenting skills!]

There's probably a lot I haven't seen.

[he's been pretty preoccupied last couple years or so.]

[and Axel's barely seen anything, so they have like a billion options. however, he finds one that looks promising.]

Hey, this kid looks kind of like Nami. In an action flick, no less. That's pretty ironic.

[he looks curious, but still doesn't venture from his place on the floor.]

Do you think he knows about it?

Dunno. I feel like he mentioned something like it at one point, but hell if I can remember. So should we watch this one?

I think I'd like to, if that's what you want.

[he still looks very interested, despite the passively agreeable response.]

[ah, but even he recognizes that first part as the more genuine answer. that gets a grin out of him, and he goes to put the movie into the DVD player.]

Are you gonna sit on the couch or are you good there? I'm fine either way.

[he thinks about that, shifting his knees a little as he thinks about how long the movie could be. he's used to being situated the way he is, but thinks Axel may not have brought it up if he wouldn't prefer Riku on the couch.]

You don't mind?

[after all, you were taking up most of it earlier.]

[wouldn't pre-- well, would, but only because he likes being close to people. but mostly it's that parts of HIS body would go to sleep if he stayed like that. :|a plops back down on the couch, rescuing the container of ribs as he does.]

Nah, not at all. Plus I always got scolded in school for sitting on my feet like that. They said it was bad for them, being strained like that for longer than a minute or so.

[Riku's gotten used to subtly stretching while sitting like this, but hearing that Axel had gotten in trouble for it before catches him by surprise.]

Really? My feet are very strong.

[just ask that girl!Axel that showed him simulations of the Organization members. still, he's slowly uncurling to join Axel on the couch, only a little tense at the proximity.]

I dunno. I'm so bony that parts of me in contact with something like floor or ground start to go numb after a few minutes, but it's probably different for other people.

[is leaning comfortably into his corner of the couch, don't worry. and once Riku gets a little more relaxed, he is totally getting a scalp massage. \o/]

Would you like me to cook for you more often?

[given the fact that he trusts this Axel at least, and that Axel stopped him earlier when he didn't have to, it won't take too long before Riku starts to relax, his eyes on the movie.]

Only if you wanted to help Kai cook sometime. He takes care of me just fine, otherwise.

[will wait until at least half an hour in before he leans slightly more towards Riku, or initiates any kind of physical contact, no matter how innocent.]

[he doesn't even notice, his eyes glued to the screen. as aware as he usually is of his surroundings, that's saying something. the boy on the screen looks so very much like Nami that he's getting caught up in the movie more than he usually would.]

[I can't remember how far in the bit with the machine thing is, but if you're that engrossed, the t-rex is probably going to scare the crap out of you. :|a is slightly less engrossed, enough to pull the old stretch and put your arm around the other person move, but only as far as resting his arm on the back of the couch so he can card his fingers gently through Riku's hair.]

[he does indeed startle at that, jerking back and away from the screen. then he feels that touch to his hair and he stills, his concentration on the movie broken. almost like flipping a switch, Riku relaxes again immediately, even more than he had before.]

[yayyyyyyy. keeps running his fingers through Riku's hair, then, eyes still on the movie. he is so glad he's not fucking this up somehow and ruining Kai's progress.]

[being given attention like this, a soothingly simple touch after so long without anything of the sort, feels like a reward to Riku. he'll gradually lean into the touch, until he's leaning curled up against Axel's side and watching the movie through half-lidded eyes.]

[well, in a way, it is a reward, for not being subservient or anything this whole time, and acting like a basically normal person. \o/ he's comfortably warm, and despite all his insistence that he's horribly bony, he's actually quite nice to lean against, if you like lanky toned guys who are pros at being relaxed and cuddly.]

[he really is getting better, his efforts at trying to be what Kai and Axel want him to be working to slowly wear down at how he was trained to act. now there's times like these, when his walls are down completely, when he feels safe in letting them.]

[they only want him to be less subservient and more like Rikus should be. :( but Axel is personally really really delighted that Riku's this relaxed around him (right now). he doesn't know the full details of what went down with the Axel from Riku's world, just that it was some pretty fucked up shit that would be enough to make anyone steer clear of Axels for the rest of forever. so this is really impressive, and an obvious sign of progress. \o/]

[it's simply the easiest route to go along with what others want, most of the time. Kai and Axel don't make very many demands on him at all though, which has him at a loss and looking for things to do for them before they can tell him not to. little things, like clearing away trash from the room or restocking their supply of lube once he noticed how much of it they use.

by the end of the movie Riku is comfortably drowsy, basking in all the petting and how good it feels to be pressed against another person in a way that has nothing to do with sex.]

[....Axel has found it mysterious how they never seem to actually run out of lube. :|a

once the movie ends, he fumbles for the remote and presses the button to move it to the next DVD. at this point it doesn't really matter what the movie is, Riku's relaxed, he's relaxed, and it's comfy and friendly here.]

[he cracks an eye open at the sound of another movie starting, idly wondering if Axel had loaded more than one before Riku entered the room or if someone else had left something in.

closing his eye again, Riku misses how the next movie starts off with what looks like a shaky camcorder pointing at the floor. the view shakes around quite a bit before flipping around to give an up-close glimpse of Xigbar's grinning face, then is turned to focus on a very wary-looking boy with silver hair and a dark bruise alongside his jaw.

the sound is off, so Riku doesn't realize anything is amiss and is drifting into a doze while the camera zooms in on his own face on the screen. it looks like he's been told to do something, Xigbar's hand gesturing from the edge of the camera. a moment later Riku's got his eyes squarely focused on the floor as he reaches to unzip his coat, his skin underneath bare as he shrugs out of the coat. he flinches at something off-camera, then moves to bend over a long table in the kitchen, his hands curling into useless fists as he braces himself.

the next moment the scene abruptly changes; the camera is pointed at someone's feet as they walk down a hall, before lifting to a door that is slowly being cracked open.]

[he goes very still as soon as he realizes what the video is of, knowing he should turn it off, but unable to move for the remote again, or even tear his gaze away from the screen. he's practically holding his breath, dreading what might be next.]

[the door only opens a little, enough to show Riku getting thrown back against the wall hard enough to knock his head. before he can sink to the floor Roxas is there, grabbing him by the front of his coat and hauling him back up again. even while in pain, Riku's expression is closed off, a mask of indifference as he disassociates himself from the encounter.

Roxas' lips move, eyes narrowing as he gives Riku a shake that gets no answer. giving up, he shoves Riku away from him to land on the floor.

the door is pushed open a little more, camera turning to catch the scene as Axel stalks over, one hard boot lifting to stop Riku at the shoulder from getting back to his feet by giving him a firm push back down.]
