[There is an absolutely massive web strung up between a couple of lamp posts that are relatively close to each other. The webbing is thick, great ropes of spider-silk easily the size of an adult's wrist in several places. The posts themselves are absolutely covered in it, the light almost completely blocked off and leaving the area in an eerie glow. In the middle of the web is a human-sized victim. Long and thick enough to give no clues as to who it is inside, anyone who may come across it will get the distinct feeling that whatever's inside there is at least still alive.

Hidden in the shadows nearby, a spider befitting the web waits.]

[Careful there, Riku, you're going to give him whiplash! Perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye.

You've rescued your damsel, so what comes next?]

[She doesn't know. She can't explain why he won't wake up unless he's been bitten by that spider, which he certainly doesn't seem to be, or if something's wrong with his Heart. That doesn't seem to be the case either, so she waits. She waits several minutes, in fact, then leans down and presses her lips against his.]

[There's a moment where it seems like it's not going to work, but then his eyes slowly open and he blinks up at her in confusion for a moment.]

[She jerks back up in surprise, because she didn't actually think that would do anything, but then she's down again to kiss him properly, her hands going to his face. This one is a better kiss, a real kiss, and hopefully he enjoys it because she's going to kick his ass once it's over.]

[He is quite surprised as well, but returns the kiss readily. This is quite the welcome back!]

[Aaaand it's over when Riku pulls away, hands on the floor on either side of him and an absolute scowl on her face.]

What the hell were you thinking?

[He grimaces, because that was more what he'd been expecting.]

I wasn't?

Did you realize you had no chance of surviving before or after you got involved?

[She pulls so he can sit up, but her expression doesn't change.]

I didn't really think about it.

[He just... saw her being attacked and reacted.]

[Her posture is tense, but it's more of a 'something hurts' tense than anger. She puts her hand over her face.]

Why? Didn't you know then what he was capable of?

Not entirely, but I wasn't exactly underestimating him.

[He was expecting this part. Her being angry over what he did. He wouldn't be surprised if she stayed angry for a while, nor would he blame her for it.]

I just stopped thinking once I saw the two of you.

[She's quiet for a moment, then pushes her hands back through her hair, staring off to the side.]

Well, he let me live. I don't know if it's because he wanted me to suffer for the scar or from watching you die, but he left.

...Sorry.

[Okay, maybe he feels a little bad.]

...yeah, you should be. It's not like he would have caught your scent after whatever happened with us and killed you anyway, just to get at me.

[She looks back at him and sighs.]

It's not worth surviving if I have to watch you die for it.

I'll keep that in mind.

[......At least he didn't feel it, right?]

[That really doesn't make things any better! She curls her fingers around the ends of her sleeves, at a loss now. He's back. What does she do now?]

You've been gone for a couple weeks.

...hn, weird how no time passed the entire time I was here, and yet the same amount of time passes as soon as I'm out.

[Yyyyyep he went home!]

...what? You went home?

[She sounds quite alarmed.]

Yeah, I did.

[Though obviously nothing bad really happened, considering his appearance is pretty normal (for him).]

What happened?

[It's pretty obvious she wasn't expecting this.]

Nothing, really. Life went on as usual. There wasn't anything big happening, though the town's getting a little livelier with summer nearing its end and all.

...huh.

[She leans back a little, not on anything- where are they, for that matter? Are there even any lights on in this random building at this time of night?]

[There might be a motion sensing light on the building's entrance, and maybe some light from outside, but that's about it! They should probably head out.]

[They should. Riku's going to stand up, perhaps with some difficulty she's trying to hide, and offer him a hand.]

Welcome back.

[He stands on his own, frowning at her for a moment.]

You're still hurt.
