[casually - thought not so much, considering what just happened -, he moves the already clipped pile of pictures over the pieces of the other photo, and then picks up another to trim, as if riku isn't there.]

[ nice try, but riku's still trying to peek like the nosy dog that he is. look out below. ]

[there's nothing he can say to stop him without sounding suspicious, not really.]

They're in a certain order...

[maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. there's no order, no rhyme or reason yet, but riku doesn't have to know.]

[ doesn't get it, but he's pushing his chin against his shoulder anyway. so much for listening to that unspoken hands off rule. ]

[so long as riku doesn't go for the one he cut up, it's all good. he might even lean back a little.

[ well, his fingertips are idly picking through them, but he hasn't quite come across the culprit yet. some of these do look a little familiar ... ]

[his cutting gets more and more uneven as riku gets closer and closer to the bottom of the pile, eyes focused on riku's hand instead of his own.]

What're you hiding?

[ he sounds more inquisitive than anything, finally making it to the bottom. ... huh. ]

[drops the scissors and slaps his hand down over the pieces, splashes of blond hair, fragments of blue eyes, and half of a wide, toothy smile - only half because the other half is pressed somewhere under his palm - peeking through his fingers.]

It's just a stupid picture that didn't come out right.

[ as usual, riku doesn't understand. ]

W-well, it's not. It doesn't fit in with everything else, anyway.

[because who puts a picture of himself - smiling and bright and happy - in his own scrapbook? as if the whole scrapbooking thing didn't make him gay enough already. (we won't talk about the other things.)]
