They cut off before it's said if he's a Riku or a Repliku, but it details how he has the power to create hearts, and uh, any misc powers you can think of? XD Also how he worked to eliminate any sense of fear in him, by doing all sorts of shit. Freaky Vex is freaky.]

[goes to get them, leading Roxas there and handing them over]

[Accepts the papers and tries to smooth some of the more crumpled ones out before beginning to read aloud.]

"Notes on Specimen R. Day 20.

The specimen has shown an uncanny ability to create hearts seemingly from nothing. He is able to produce said hearts at a constant rate even when deprived of nutrients for an extended period of time. Output increases at strange times, such as when the specimen is in pain--"

[Roxas suddenly stops reading, sickened at the sudden realization of who 'Specimen R.' most likely is.] This is about you, isn't it? This is awful.

[doesn't quite understand it until he points that out, brushing it off]

It's supposed to be about me, but M...Vexen said that since I couldn't remember a lot of what happened in the lab, it was for my own good.

[Looks troubled but can't stop reading -- silently, this time.]

Specimen R. must be subconsciously remembering past memories; I can hear him talk when he's asleep. Must talk with Number XII about another electroshock session and reinstate negative feedback system to discourage any continuing reawakening of suppressed memories. The subject has grown increasingly tolerant of most physical pain, though, and more drastic measures will be required.

If it comes down to it, perhaps electrodes can be attached while the subject sleeps to see what parts of the brain are responsible for these memories so they can be deactivated.

Still, research has shown time and time again that the heart is stronger than the mind, and the memories there are much harder to eradicate, but I do not wish to tamper with his heart, unless it proves to be utterly necessary, lest it damage his ability to create hearts for the Heartless and, most importantly, for Kingdom Hearts.

[Roxas grits his teeth and flips through a few more pages.]

Success! New negative feedback system has been established and is currently working, producing optimal results. It would seem that a phobia of needles can be induced in Specimen R.--

[Roxas stops again, wishing that this Vexen were here so that he could give him a good demonstration of the business end of a Keyblade.

Riku....

[has a blank look on his face, not quite sure what Roxas is reading]

What?

What do the papers say?

He tortured you, Riku! He didn't want you to remember anything about your past. He just wanted you to make hearts and more hearts.

What a monster.

[Roxas looks down, ashamed. Ashamed for being a Nobody, ashamed for not being able to remember what he did when he was in the Organization. What if he had once been like this himself?]

His "torture" was to make me better! [glares at Roxas]

It was to improve me so I'd survive.

[Roxas is honestly startled by Riku's defense of Vexen, but glares right back a moment later.]

I'm surprised that he didn't kill you in the process!

And what was so "bad" with you before that needed to be made better? Huh?

[Angrily waves a handful of papers around, but he's angry at Vexen and the fact that Riku is defending him, but not at Riku himself.]

What good could possibly come from him shoving electrodes up and inside of you just to see how long you could stand the pain before you either screamed for mercy or passed out, Riku?

[he's defending because he doesn't remember a lot of the worse parts, just thinks that it was all in the name of science]

I wasn't able to properly pay them back for all they did for me.

[looks confused at the anger being shown, head tilted to the side in an oddly childish way]

...He--

[stiffens, the mention of that bringing back flashes of white-hot pain and the sensation of his voice going away from screaming so long and hard]

He--!

But they didn't do anything for you! Nothing good, at least. [Of this, Roxas is sure.]

[Notices Riku stiffening and instinctively grabs for him.] Riku!

They did! Th-they made me-

[wavverrrrss, sitting down hard, though it's more of a badly-controlled fall, hands shaking]

Stop it, stop talking, it's--

[grits his teeth against the flashes of memory, shaking his head]

Riku! Riku!

[Slides down beside Riku, clutching at his hands. He raises his voice in desperation, trying to get Riku's attention.]

They can't hurt you anymore! You're safe now.

[presses his forehead to his knees, shivering]

I don't....he said I'm not supposed to remember!

I know you're stronger than this, Riku. You've always been strong.

[Roxas is starting to become used to Sora's words just randomly coming out of his mouth, but it still is a bit unexpected.]

Just hang in there, Riku. Please!

[quiets after a while, listening to him, hands white-knuckled, his face pale as he tries to just sit there and breathe, shaking]

W-what else was in those notes.

[Roxas eyes the notes darkly. They're lying in the floor where he dropped them when he reached for Riku.]

Are you sure you want me to continue?

[He's pretty sure that he already knows the answer, but he wants to give Riku the opportunity to stop if he wants.]

I have to.

[slowly leans back, resting his head against the wall, watching Roxas]

[Nods slowly. He wouldn't expect anything less from Riku, so Roxas will do his best to read through the rest of the notes.]

All right.

[ooc; bwhaha, anything you want. I'm easy. ♥ It's known that he didn't get along with Saix, who came a few times to check on Vexen's little projects. Marluxia and Larxface came to say hello a few times, and he hates them.

I'm not saying if he's Rep or Riku, bwaha, it's for everyone else to decide. ♥]

Yeah, I figured that he probably wouldn't have much love for Larxene after a couple of shock sessions. XP

So ... do you have it established in your mind if he's Riku or Repliku? Or are you just waiting to see what the general consensus turns out to be? ~~To be honest, I've been thinking of him as Riku, but I guess we'll eventually find out!~~

I know who he is, haha, I'm just letting everyone else puzzle it out for a while. ♥
