[ Oh shit, it's Larx. Or actually, it isn't. Not the one most people are familiar with. It's his much older, future self, hanging out on the roof of the elevator in the apartments, where he can't be seen or sensed until it's too late. He's just waiting for random passerby to harass, maybe kill, maybe gut and hang from their own intestines down the fronts of buildings... It's been a long time since he's had any fun around here, between how dull this current timeline is and the people in it. He's looking for some good fun or some good bait. But he's not picky, and he's terribly patient. ]

No? You're not scared? Well look at you.

[He tightens his grip enough to cut off any airflow, grin wide and manic.]

[well that sure keeps him from correcting Larxene! his eyes go wide and his hands go up to try and loosen the one at his throat. it's too bad Larxene is wearing gloves, because otherwise he'd become rather aware of Nami's racing pulse.]

[Psh, as if he needed correcting. He knew that wasn't really what Nami was saying. His hand doesn't budge or relax a bit.]

Give me something better than that.

[he doesn't respond, obviously, instead clawing at Larxene's hand like it's going to make any sort of difference. what happens if tears start gathering in the corners of his eyes?]

[It's something better! It's not what he expected, though, and his eyes narrow.]

You are afraid.

[And Nami will be able to hear all of the disgust in his voice when he says that. Because that is wrong.]

[is he still being choked? because running out of breath is probably a lot more of a deal now than it used to be for him.]

[No. Larxene lets go, but gives him a hard shove in the chest with the heel of his palm. He wants him up against the wall.]

[he nearly falls to his knees instead, but hits the wall and manages to stop himself from sliding down too much, gasping for breath and rubbing his throat.]

[Good for him. And now there's a small bolt of lightning to bring him to his knees on Larxene's terms.]

[he cries out and falls, wincing as his knees hit the floor. he's so completely terrified right now, it feels like his heart's trying to escape his chest. he doesn't like this feeling at all.]

[Larxene grabs him by the front of his hair, wrenching his head back in a way that's probably very painful.]

Pathetic.

[he lets out a pained noise, grimacing and squinting up at Larxene through tears. he's having to crush down the urge to apologize. it's sad how easily he falls back into things.]

[He's going to rip some of Nami's hair out with how much he's tugging and yanking and just how tight of a grip he has.]

I knew it would happen sooner or later but already? Are you happy?

I-I didn't go looking for it, it happened on Christmas.

[he winces again, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment.]

I'm... I'm not happy. It's strange.

[He leans down close, electricity crackling over his fingers.]

Do you want it out?

[he'd cringe back if he could.]

I don't think you can get the right one out properly.

Does it matter? You wouldn't be feeling anything after either one.

[Time to summon his knives, looks like.]

[oh god. he whimpers and tries to lean away from him automatically.]

I don't want to die.

Would you beg me?

[He puts a knife right up to the area beneath Nami's throat.]

Beg me not to string you up so you can drain yourself dry over Kai's doorstep? I know how to be careful after this long. Even Axel wouldn't catch me in time.

[funny how it's the idea of Kai having to go through that that gets him in tears proper.]

Please. I'll do anything, just please, please don't kill me. I don't want to die.

How about Riku, hmm?

[She drags the very edge of the knife down his neck.]

She's followed me through the darkness for things I've done to you lot.

No!

[that came out a lot more forceful than he meant to, some instinct deep down in him flaring up. it's gone as soon as it came and he's left trying to stay still with that knife at his neck.]

I-I'm sorry, please, do whatever you want with me, just please don't bring them into it.

[Oh no, don't react, Nami. That makes him pause, and then grin.]

Why not?

They've... they don't deserve it.

[the pain of seeing someone they care for die. he doesn't want to bring that onto them.]

[He tsks.]

You really do care.

[And then he punches Nami across the face, hard enough to draw blood.]
