[ Oh shit, it's Larx. Or actually, it isn't. Not the one most people are familiar with. It's his much older, future self, hanging out on the roof of the elevator in the apartments, where he can't be seen or sensed until it's too late. He's just waiting for random passerby to harass, maybe kill, maybe gut and hang from their own intestines down the fronts of buildings... It's been a long time since he's had any fun around here, between how dull this current timeline is and the people in it. He's looking for some good fun or some good bait. But he's not picky, and he's terribly patient. ]

[oh god. he whimpers and tries to lean away from him automatically.]

I don't want to die.

Would you beg me?

[He puts a knife right up to the area beneath Nami's throat.]

Beg me not to string you up so you can drain yourself dry over Kai's doorstep? I know how to be careful after this long. Even Axel wouldn't catch me in time.

[funny how it's the idea of Kai having to go through that that gets him in tears proper.]

Please. I'll do anything, just please, please don't kill me. I don't want to die.

How about Riku, hmm?

[She drags the very edge of the knife down his neck.]

She's followed me through the darkness for things I've done to you lot.

No!

[that came out a lot more forceful than he meant to, some instinct deep down in him flaring up. it's gone as soon as it came and he's left trying to stay still with that knife at his neck.]

I-I'm sorry, please, do whatever you want with me, just please don't bring them into it.

[Oh no, don't react, Nami. That makes him pause, and then grin.]

Why not?

They've... they don't deserve it.

[the pain of seeing someone they care for die. he doesn't want to bring that onto them.]

[He tsks.]

You really do care.

[And then he punches Nami across the face, hard enough to draw blood.]

[he doesn't try to muffle the pained sound he makes at that. it's so strange feeling proper, real blood instead of that bizarre mix of blood and darkness that would've come up normally.]

[He leans forward to grab Nami by his mouth, forcing a few gloved fingers in his mouth so he can hold on to that bottom jaw painfully.]

[Nami winces but doesn't struggle, trying to blink away the tears still stubbornly falling. he'd very much like to not give Larxene the satisfaction of making him cry, but that is proving a lot more difficult than he thought it would.]

[You're so much fun, Nami. He gives him a good shake, then moves to bash his head into the wall.]

[he yelps in pain, hands going up to hold that spot automatically.]

[Nope. He's going to do it again, and again, three times before he drops Nami to the floor.]

[he drops like a stone, whimpering and holding his head. the tears are back in full force, to the point where it'd be impossible to even make out Larxene's face if his eyes were open (and he was actually looking at him, obviously).]

[He's going to kick him in his mouth this time.]

[more pained noise, though it's muffled by one of his hands. he wishes he had some way to lessen the pain, but he's never been able to really handle magic aside from his own powers.]

I don't even know what to do with you. We've been through so much together.

[And by that of course he means he's put the Nami of his time through so much already, no doubt. Or a different Nami. Any Nami. He crouches down in front of him, 'tsk'ing again.]

[he'll just take Larxene's word for it on that! it's not like he can really talk right now, his mouth hurts horribly from that kick. he feels dizzy from his head being bashed against the wall, too. definitely not able to make a coherent sentence just yet.]

[He almost takes a seat, because he clearly doesn't consider Nami a threat. Not even close. But he doesn't sit. Instead, he stands up again and summons a portal.]

I'm not sure I care enough to toy with you too much.

[he opens one eye to look up at Larxene, too scared to be hopeful about that meaning he's going to leave. it would certainly be nice, but he doubts Larxene would go without at least a 'parting gift'.]

[Of course not. With the portal open, he leans down to grab Nami (by his hair again) and shove him through the portal.

He'll find himself on the roof of the apartments.]

[he grimaces and tries to at least get to his knees or something, his head aching horribly.]

[He's going to get a boot planted between his shoulderblades, pressed him down into the ground.]

I'm going to give you a choice.

[he was about to struggle a bit, but stops when Larxene talks, silent.]
