[ Oh shit, it's Larx. Or actually, it isn't. Not the one most people are familiar with. It's his much older, future self, hanging out on the roof of the elevator in the apartments, where he can't be seen or sensed until it's too late. He's just waiting for random passerby to harass, maybe kill, maybe gut and hang from their own intestines down the fronts of buildings... It's been a long time since he's had any fun around here, between how dull this current timeline is and the people in it. He's looking for some good fun or some good bait. But he's not picky, and he's terribly patient. ]

[being less learned in how to detect bad people, and people in general in terms of where, specifically, they are at any given time, Inaya's blithely getting into the elevator today. she's planning on finding some good food and stuff to drink for the new year tomorrow night, preferably to share with whoever can be rounded up, but especially Aden since she lives right next door to him.]

[You'd think it was still Christmas with a gift like this. It's almost too good, with his recent string of luck in the DR. He knows who it is immediately, of course. He keeps tabs on these things. Larxene waits for the doors to close before doing anything, though. They're still fairly high up, so once the elevator is between floors he sends a simple, short bolt of electricity to stall it.]

[she still has no idea. ;~; in the past, before they were both in this timeline, the fact that her parents kept pretty close tabs on her would probably have been enough to dissuade Larx, but here she doesn't have that protection, and doesn't even know Larx is in this timeline as well. basically he is really lucky and she is fucked.]

Oh come on! Knew I should've taken the stairs...

[She really is. But not like that, don't worry. He's not the least bit interested in that. Hmm. A wonderful, tiny metal box, trapped hundreds of feet above ground, all alone with no particular defenses. As far as he knows. He's not underestimating her at all, what with her parents. It's amazing the level of control and precision he has over his own magic, however. Enough for him to cut off all (or most of) the electricity connected to the elevator and send her into complete darkness.]

[Here's a familiar face, if not person. Roxas doesn't look to be very awake yet, and has a mesh bag of laundry slung over his shoulder as he steps into the elevator.]

[Good a pick as any, he supposes. He does so despise Roxae, after all. Yes, he'll wait for the elevators to close, keeping a careful eye on which floor he intends to go to.]

[He's aiming at one of the lowest floors, so he can get his clothes tossed into a washer in peace before the place gets swarmed with people. Roxas finds Larxenes annoying for the most part, and hasn't really had to deal with one much outside of training.]

[Rude. That's okay, he thinks Roxae are even more annoying. Time to cut off the power to the elevator so it's not moving. Well, it moves. It jolts violently and then stalls.]

[damn. and what will he do when her reaction is to huff in annoyance and get her phone out of her pocket? she flips it open, the glow from it providing a decent amount of light, and starts navigating to her contact list to call Aden, who will probably just be able to climb down like a giant spider and help her out or something, idk.]

[He'll wait, for a minute. He'll even let her answer it!]

[Normally one would expect a yell at the very least when something like that happens, but the only sound is a thump that makes the elevator bounce on its cables. If he weren't awake before, he certainly is now.]

[He would expect that! He's a little disappointed. Time to make lightning ripple across the floor.]

[Then he's probably not expecting the curious Heartless that's out and about, inspecting the elevator like a kid in a candy store. Electronics make him quite happy, and learning about them even happier. So he's currently inspecting the buttons, trying to figure out just how they work.

The data Heartless suspects nothing.]

[Sorry Larx, still no sounds of distress! There is more thumping though, because Roxas just stumbled across the elevator. His shoes help against the electricity, but they can only do so much.]

[If he's leaning against a wall, it's going to happen there, too.]

[...yeah, no, that's not something he's expecting at all, and it makes him pause to stare. Will he even be able to have any fun with this one?]

[stupid, you don't even know who she might be calling, and more importantly, where they are in relation to the elevator. even she knows that. P: ]

Aden? Yeah, the elevator crapped out on me.

[as something of a favour to Riku, Nami's been trying to keep his use of portals down to a minimum to keep his heart safe. as it's been several days since he's gotten it, he's more or less stable, and back to his normal quiet self. heck, the way he acts even with a heart, people who haven't been informed might not even know. in any case, he's returning home after doing a small shop. he never ate properly as a Nobody, but he certainly needs to now.]

[Doesn't matter. Even if they're just a floor above him, he has the advantage of being able to see them, and however long it takes them to get there. It won't take him long to do what he wants, if pressed for time. Plus, it gives him an idea of who she'll go to in these situations, and it's always so much more fun when there's someone they can contact, someone they would ask for help, who can't get there. Larxene's a master of not leaving trails with his portals.

But that's all he's giving her. The phone will cut off in the middle of whatever Aden has to say, exploding in her hand. Better drop that so you don't get shocked too badly with it, Inaya.]

[Well, he's leaving himself open. But that's because he has quite an ego himself, considering himself, well... The top of the food chain, pretty much. So right now he'll just poke at the buttons. ...This is going to be a long ride.]

[Forget Christmas, this is like his birthday. Nami's just one of very few faces that infuriate him (as much as he can be infuriated) on sight, no matter what kind of person that face belongs to. Namis, Namines... they're all the same to him. This one, though, is much more precious. He's going to wait until they're nice and in the middle of wherever they're going, and so the doors are trapped against wall and not a floor before he cuts off the power.]

[she shrieks and drops it right away, recoiling to the wall of the elevator. now she's getting suspicious, because that many incidents of bad luck can't be a coincidence. she's trying to pick up any scents, but this is a spot that gets too much traffic every day for her to be able to distinguish anything as out of place. she's listening, too, which is much more reliable right now, but not by much.]

[Just an experimental zap, then.]

[The DR will give her a new phone later. That one appears to be completely fried. Who knows? Maybe it is bad luck. It's suspicious, sure, but it's also the dressing room. It could happen. Of course, it's not, and the layer of electricity that shoots up (and stays) on the wall she's against should hint toward that.]

[his head tilts slightly at the sudden power outage. it makes him a bit cautious, as this isn't a thing that regularly happens, especially not on one's own. he could see it happening with two people who aren't fond of each other, or are too fond of each other but don't want to admit it, but what's the point when he's on his own? it seems he'll have to give in and open a portal after all.]
