[Good afternoon, DR! You should enjoy all this good weather and take a break from the insanity by hitting the beach! Kira's already there, sprawled out on a towel in a cute pink bikini. She's taking a bit of a snooze under the sun, and flopped on the sand behind her is a book curiously titled "How To Hunt Elves."]

[It's kind of hard for him not to like the beach with the type of family he grew up with. Particularly his mother. The pink is positively horrific, but in the way he's used to. He walks right up to her sleeping form and considers building an elaborate sand castle around her.]

[ur princess is in another castle? But her bikini is so cute and there's white hearts! Those aren't pink! Though Kira's skin might go from lightly tanned to red-like-lobster if Aden doesn't wake her up, it's time for another sunscreen application]

[The hearts are only good for covering up the pink. But look at all this sand! He could take the time to hide a dozen adorable little centipedes in tiny towers before he wakes her up... Fine, he'll wake her up. But he's going to do it his way.

Which fortunately doesn't involve nightmares. Not for Kira. But when he leans over to shake her shoulder she'd be opening her eyes to a face full of scorpion, dangling gently by its tail from Aden's mouth.]

[waking up surrounded by centipedes just might get Kira to 'accidentally' shock Aden with a Thundaga; as it is, Kira will make a grumbly noise and rub her eyes as she wakes up, before squinting up at her dear sweet cousin]

Whaa-- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUGGHHHHH!!

[Aden is familiar with those accidents, and he suspects there's more to them than that. The scream sends a lovely ripple of innocent pleasure up his spine, and he beams at her like a little kid, sucking the scorpion up into his mouth and... making a run for it.]

[But Kira is so cute and innocent and would totally never fake 'accidents' like that! She's going to recover from her flailing and scramble up in a flurry of sand to chase her dear sweet cousin]

ADEN! GET BACK HERE! BLIZZARD!

[thankfully the heat means her spell ends up more like a very cold drenching instead of, you know, instant popsicle]

[The very cold part still makes him shriek, cutting off his mid-laughter response of "hell no". He had been all nice and warm, too.]

[Layla hardly really needs a tan. So instead, she's setting up camp nearby under a big old parasol, shades on, with a notebook in hand; just getting out and getting inspired by the sound of the sea. Not noticing that Kira's asleep, she'll give a bit of a-]

[Kira jerks awake at the yell, somewhat startled before rubbing her eyes and drowsily propping herself up to look]

Ah! Oh, sorry!

[Looking embarrassed as all heck, here.]

Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you...

[Kira just waves a hand, the other covering a slight yawn as she wakes up fully]

It's okay! I probably shouldn't sleep so long under the sun anyway.

[She giggles a bit.]

How long've you been here?

Uhm. I'm not sure...

[Kira gives herself a test poke]

Ugh. Maybe an hour napping. I need more sunscreen.

[He's eyeing that book curiously as he settles quietly beside her. His wings are stretched out to accommodate this, the left one reaching neatly over her to shield her from the sun as he picks up the book.]

[It's a very informative book! If you're trying to find elves and possibly catch them or something, though the information is probably of questionable truthfulness. Also, you're quite kind of shading Kira.]

[He's wondering why she would even want to try to catch one. He's going to stay like this for a while, quietly reading. The sun doesn't bother him at all.]

[after a bit Kira will stir and blink, wondering why it's shady when she doesn't have an umbrella]

[She'll have a nice view of a light gray, enormous wing spread over her. Every now and then the wind rustles his feathers, but Riku appears to be absorbed in what he's reading.]

[Kira might be getting a wake up call in the form of some rather cold sunscreen squirted on her stomach. What? If she's gonna be out here in the sun for extended periods of time, she needs it.]

Wakey, wakey!

[that makes Kira squeal awake, because it really is a startling feeling after toasting in the sun, no matter how needed]

[She laughs at that, before smiling apologetically.]

Nami! That's cold!

[Kira will sulk a little before sitting up fully]

[She puts her own towel down before sitting and offering the bottle of sunscreen.]

The opportunity was too perfect. But, sorry.
