[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

I hope not. Humanth theem to have pretty weak digethtive tracth. I can't thee them being able to break down thomething thith rubbery.

[there's a lot of chocolates! but also some gummy candies, and he's still got a few hard candies to try. and lollipops.]

It was in the same store as all the other candy.

Yeah, and this had wrappings. So there.

[yes! regular fruit ones, tootsie pops, ones like chocolate banana and other ice cream-like flavours....]

[He probably is. She's stealing a lollipop. Mine now.]

How are you adapting to human life?

[his nose crinkles as he makes a face.]

I'm tired. This place is nice and all but there's still not a single recuperacoon to be found, or anything to make one with! I can't even find any slime to go fill a bathtub with or something!

[She crouches down beside where he's sitting, biting the lollipop clean in half.]

[gosh Riku that's not what you're supposed to do.]

I have the ocean, so at least there's some familiarity... a lot of the sea life looks weirdly similar to back on Alternia.

[Is so.]

A lot of things are weirdly similar. The parallels are pretty impressive. And then some things aren't similar at all, like... beds.

There's got to be some sort of substitute here for us... right?

If there is, I doubt we'll find it any time soon.

[She looks at him, expression deathly serious.]

I know. It's really unfortunate this place isn't better supplied. I would have thought it would be, considering it brought us here in the first place.

You'd think. I don't hear a lot of good things about this place from the locals.

[Goodbye, lollipop. It's gone, and she's left spinning the stick in her fingers.]

But they also say you can find anything. Maybe we should go on a hunt.
