What are you going to do, now that you're separate?

I'm... not really sure.

Anything you've wanted to do before that you couldn't?

...I hadn't really... thought about it.

[it's sad, but true. he's never really thought about what he could do once he was actually separate from Kai, and not under anyone's thumb.]

[It makes sense. It's kind of sad, too, but Riku's not giving any indication of that, of course. She just shrugs.]

[which makes him frown and go quiet. what does he want to do?]

[Maybe he should wait until after she finds him a suitable Heart to think on that too much. Which she is definitely going to try to do, and soon. She's a lot happier about this than she's letting on.]

[technically? yeah, it is. he's not in Kai's body. he's not got someone wanting his powers to be used. he's not rushing to assist the plot anyone...]

[How depressing. She's going to not dwell on that right now, because it makes her feel guilty just thinking about it.]

[please don't dwell on it, he'd feel bad. since, you know, he sort of can! sort of. and he doesn't blame Riku at all.]
