[there is a certain blond Nobody in the art room, dressed in pale blue slacks and a pristine white sweater. he's standing in front of a wide canvas, pastel covering most of it in an image of Destiny Islands - the main island, not the play one - during the holidays. for those capable of sensing it, he is very much without a Heart.]

[How depressing. She's going to not dwell on that right now, because it makes her feel guilty just thinking about it.]

[please don't dwell on it, he'd feel bad. since, you know, he sort of can! sort of. and he doesn't blame Riku at all.]

[You do remember who this is, right? No, don't worry, she's pushing aside any thoughts related to the time they spent together in the past, or what he was forced to do involving Sora.]

Your thoughts on the beach?

[think of who he comes from; he's a very forgiving person, especially considering how little say Riku had in Nami's treatment overall.]

[She did try her best to make it easier when DiZ wasn't around, you know. But she nods, jerking her head in that direction.]

Boardwalk?

Sure.

[he is no doubt quite aware of how much she tried to make it easier on him.]

[She smiles, then! Boardwalks are great for talks. Or just hanging out. Beach-goers unite and such. ~~She would be happy to know he was aware.~~]

[~~he'll thank her one day, just wait.~~]

[That will be full of awkward and sadfaces. She's leading, she's leading!]

[~~and he won't really understand why the sadfaces.~~ and he's following. probably a little behind, because it's more comfortable for him. :/]

[Hey, if it makes him comfortable, it's okay. She's not bothered anyway, and will be silent all the way to the room and out into the sand. It's quite breezy today, and pretty chilly, too, which makes her stop.]

Do you need a coat?

I probably should wear one. Wouldn't do to get sick on my first day out.

[She smirks, then moves away, just a little down the hall, where she knows a few closets are.]

[back to following her for now. good thing he's not picky. he won't take long in the closet.]

[Then she won't have to wait long for him to come out? She's snagging one of her own, by the way - a slightly oversized black jacket, just so she's not freezing in there.]

[yes, exactly. :3 he'll just grab a grey jacket, because he's sort of boring like that.]

[There's nothing wrong with grey. It's almost silver, and silver is a sign of true badassery. And sometimes evil. But anyway, once they've both got their jackets on, she'll slowly travel back to the door to the beach room.]

[Nami is pretty far from being a badass. and he's a little excited to go to the beach room! half because of Kai's attachment to all things beach-y, and half remnants of the whole mess in CO with Sora's memories.]

[Riku agrees that the beach is one of the best places ever. She learned to really appreciate it a while back. As it is, it's going to take them a few minutes of wandering in the sand to reach the boardwalk. Riku is going to huddle up in her jacket, because a winter person she is not.]

[he's not much of one either, if only because he's never really experienced it for more than a couple days. he's quiet for a little while as they walk, then glances to her.]

So...

[She glances back at him, eyebrows raised.]

Hm?

[he's quiet again, having trailed off right after that 'so'. he looks at a loss for what to discuss.]

[They are a couple of winners, right here. She looks at him for a moment, then smiles.]

We don't have much to talk about, do we?

[It's not said sadly or like there's something wrong with it. It's just... a fact.]

No... we don't.

[except for Kai, but there's no reason to talk about him.]

[She nods, a little distracted, a little thoughtful.]
