[there is a certain blond Nobody in the art room, dressed in pale blue slacks and a pristine white sweater. he's standing in front of a wide canvas, pastel covering most of it in an image of Destiny Islands - the main island, not the play one - during the holidays. for those capable of sensing it, he is very much without a Heart.]

Try not to get in as much trouble as Kai?

[It's almost teasing, how she's smiling as she says this. But she really hopes he's not as much of a danger magnet as Kai is.]

I'll do my best, considering I can't fight.

[he doesn't even know the first thing about fighting, really, even if he's watched it countless times.]

[Nami would probably make a good mage.]

[he seems a bit surprised.]

[He's as pleased as he can be about that~. and really, it's just an automatic thing, his reaction.]

[oh, there's the whole self-deprecating thing he developed from all that stuff before he joined back with Kai. took long enough.]

[She is frowning at him.]

[he doesn't even realize what's wrong!]

[She's just looking at him, trying to figure out how to put into words how she feels.]

[which just has him looking confused, not sure why she said his name.]

[She's going to pinch him in the arm and then stuff her hands in her coat pockets like nothing happened.]

[he lets out a small surprised noise and rubs that spot, looking at her in confusion ~~and a teensy bit of hurt. y u hurt me, riku.~~]

I don't let any of my friends put themselves down. So don't expect me to go easy on you just because it's your first day.
