[Let it never be said that Sora doesn't know what's going on with his family, and especially his Ri. He may not see the blood, but being of pure Light he feels the Darkness more acutely than anyone ever could. Not only that, but the baby responds to it as well which explains why Sora's keeping his distance from Ri for the moment (at least until he's under some semblance of control). After losing Kira (temporarily) this time last year, Sora's staying incredibly attuned to his body and keeping himself safe. He may be a rawr super bad-ass warrior and stuff, but he'd take the pain himself before putting anyone else in danger.

It doesn't get too much safer than the nursery, the new room in the small complex of rooms for this big family which has been freshly painted a dusky lavender color, and is seated in the cushy chair with his legs tucked under him. He's trying to work himself up to putting together the crib that's still in pieces, but the first mistake was sitting down and he can't help zoning out and staring at the single framed picture on the wall over the chest of drawers -- a black and white transparent ultrasound. Twins ♥]

... you two already have fingernails, and I still need to put your bed together. Slow down, will ya?

[His Heart swells with pride and excitement, and he kind of wants a sandwich.]

[makes a little "pfff" noise, mentally noting to find and harass his older self about girlfriends at some point. it seems like a good idea! he curls up, happy to be snuggly.]

So! How do you think I oughta decorate this room, hmm?

[blinks. aside from drawing on his special wall in his own room, Sora's never really done any interior decorating.]

Umm.. Uh... Put some dinosaurs in here, maybe? Or boats! I like boats!

like the dinosaur idea. Do you like stars? I was thinking about stars. Lemme show you what I found!

*he goes over the a little lamp (http://www.jschatz.com/egglamps/nlaquaatnight.html) and turns it on; at first, you can't see anything, but when he flips the light off, there's the glow of stars on a mystical, dark blue/violet wall*

Wow! You could have a dance party with that! Where did you find it? Do you think I could have one?

Yeah, I guess you could! Though I'm hoping it'll make them get sleepy. Of course you can! There were several different colors, too!

Yeah! And I can get one with dinosaurs, right? Right?

[slides off the the chair and takes off out the door and farther into the family's growing living space-- he'd stayed with them long enough to know his way around pretty well.]

I don't think there is one with dinosaurs! But there's a pink, blue, orange and green.

*he follows you through the 'house', making sure you're not too loud, because little Kira is fast asleep in her crib*

[he's just going to the bathroom to suds up his hands; ever since he had a summer lesson about germs and hygiene he's been a little overenthusiastic in making sure all the evil germs on his hands are good and dead! this is probably a good thing, considering Sora's been kind of sneezy and cough-y the past week.]

I'll take the blue one, then!

*uh-oh, is Mama going to get a cold? he's very impressed with the hygiene though, and thinks*

Well, they're all the way down at the end of the hall. I can go get you one really quick, but you need to do me a big favor!

[hopefully not, Sora's trying his very best to keep his germs to himself. he looks up at him inquisitively.]

Huh? What do I gotta do?

Could you watch Kira for just a minute? I'll come right back. She's sleeping, so just keep an eye on her for me.

*smiles and waits to see if you're comfortable with that*

-- You want me to babysit? Really? Are you sure it's okay?

Mmhmm!

*leads you to the nursery*

Just sit right in here and watch her to make sure she doesn't wake up alone, if she wakes up. She hates being alone. Can you do that?

I can do that!

[he squishes himself up against the crib, staring at Kira, eyes wide and standing vigilant. well, hopefully he won't accidentally terrify her if she wakes up.]

*and off he goes to get your lamp! quickly! Kira's still sleeping peacefully on her back, stretched out and drooling in her little orange onesie; she might be needing a diaper change pretty soon :x*

[Sora's just.. clinging to the bars of the crib, staring at Kira, wide-eyed and wondering what on earth he should do if she wakes up. does he try to take her out of the crib? maybe he should just make funny faces at her until Sora comes back... he probably couldn't be trusted with changing a diaper at all.]

*it's okay, Mama will fix it ;; he's coming right back with a pretty lamp for Sorabug, but the moment the door closes, Kira starts to make fussy noises -- is Sora ready to witness the changing of a diaper? is he?*

Nooo, baby girl~ Mama's here~

*crinkles up his nose and puts the lamp down as the RAIN OF CRYING comes down*

Wha-- I didn't do anything, I swear! I was just watching her like you asked me to!

[flails and panics, aaahhhh!]

Oh, I know you didn't Sorabug. She's just in need of a little change.

*he carries the bundle of cranky to the changing table, getting a fresh soft diaper from her chest of drawers and unwrapping the dirty one -- feel free to eww, Sora*

[and ewww he will, making a face and scooting far, far away. to think he's normally so amused by potty humor.]

Gross!

Is it gross? I guess it kind of is... I'm used to it~

*it's not that gross! it doesn't even really smell too much, so he folds the dirty lining up to be washed and puts another on her, cleaning her securing the soft diaper around her hips -- it's like magic how fast she stops crying*

That's because you've got lots and lots of babies! But it is kinda gross..

[he walks closer now that Kira is clean, and waves his hands up at her in greeting.]

*Kira gurgles happily at that and reaches back towards Sorabug, trying to get a handful of his hair~ it's like Mamas!*

Yeah, babies can be kinda gross. But they're really awesome, too!

[ack, he tries to duck out of Kira's reach, flailing.]

Well, kids are supposed to make messes! Right?
