.........

[Pretends to have no idea at all as to why he's waking hours before dawn and fleeing from any remotely darkened room, which may induce sleep. Nightmares? What nightmares?

On another note, rediscovers how much coffee and Roxas mesh much like the contents of a train-wreck. Maybe it's just the nature of being rudely awakened, then denying yourself any rest through the night or following morning, which makes downing the muddy bilious stuff torture. This is shown by the way he's squinting blue-ringed eyes at the ceramic mug which said...unholy liquid..is growing tepid within.

Perhaps that glare could will it away, because getting up and walking to the sink ...isn't an option. Not when curling up in the embrace of a toasty-warm sofa is possible instead.

And it's so peaceful that he can't resist shutting one eye for a while... or maybe both. But they're blinking open after a minute or ten, so that's not encouraging sleep- right? Then neither is propping head on knees, arms around legs and letting the afghan fall over his eyes a bit. ....Not sleeping. No, no.

..Roxas is just still awake if he's -thinking- & concentrating on his thoughts in order to stay conscious. Mmhm~ Right.. t-thinki-..]

...
[Dead to the world.]

[grins]

Yeah, I think you're right. Hear that? [oh wonderful silence] It's the sound of my heart breaking in half.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
[oh look at that, he's managed to keep his voice steady AND flippant.]

Heh. Go ahead.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
[the fingers of his hand resting on the sofa suddenly tightens on the material for a second before letting go. Nothing's troubling the Axel here, move along, move along.]

That easy, huh.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
[laughs]

T.L.C? Can't believe there are still people brave enough to use that A-C-R-O-N-Y-M.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
[hello, recurring fatigue. But now, he doesn't exactly know whether he wants to fall asleep or not.]

Yeah, thanks for being so gracious as to spare me that. I see enough of it every day in here.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, not that 'L' word.

[the inflection makes the meaning clear; so he took the word "uncensored" literally. And it's true, there's not a lot of actual "love" around. Save from people with hearts like the Soras and Rikus. And...the Roxae, but Axel pays little attention to that. For obvious reasons. Yet for the same reasons, he noticeably stills when Roxas mentions leaving.]

No. I...It's okay. Not that tired, and I don't need that much sleep anyways.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[glances at the floor. His tone of voice is totally teasing:] Y'know, I have a strange feeling there's not going to be any danger of my destroying furniture in my sleep.

[seriously] But thanks. Appreciate it.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
[voice is considerably softer:] It's not like I'd pass up a chance to talk to you, anyways.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
[that does not escape Axel's notice, and he's pretty sure he knows what Roxas's mind is going back to. He nods, wishing he hadn't brought it up...but the words themselves were somewhat involuntary. Awkward silence is a go.]

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[there's a short laugh. Relief, amusement, genuine disbelief - he doesn't know and he doesn't care.]

So I did. I'm making too many of those nowadays.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[he would rather not. It wasn't admitting it in the first place, and getting into the specifics at this point is a little more difficult. Not that he doesn't trust this Roxas or anything like that.]

Is that so. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not one for pontification.

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[shrugs and smiles apologetically. If Roxas only knew how rare actual peace and quiet was for him, occurring so seldom that Axel has developed a preference for it. Strange penchant for someone whose sphere of influence was fire...but also logical in a twisted way.

But one-on-one conversations also fell in the same category.

Ever tried sea-salt ice cream?

[identity profile] a-ccidentalism.livejournal.com 2008-06-05 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. You're deprived for a Roxas.
