[There's a place that looks awfully like Castle Oblivion, here. And a rather confused looking white-haired boy stepping into it, out of a room full of the sounds of wild falling waters. He turns, looking back the way he came, yelling back-]
Grandfather? Terra? Can you see this? I-
[Peek in. Peek out. Rub his head. Something's wrong - something's very wrong. But he'd just stepped from home, with his grandfather-namesake and his older brother and all his family, to out here, and that isn't something that's supposed to happen. You don't just - step out of the world. Not out of somewhere you're meant to fit in.
Still, curiosity's built into Xehanort almost by definition. Muttering directions under his breath to make sure things are okay, he heads onwards, through the shining white corridors... because he's going to get to the bottom of this.
The fact that he never had a grandfather or a brother in that sense isn't occurring to him right now.
Nor is the fact that the room's changing behind him.]

How about this?

Worth a try.

It's something different around here, at least.

What do you think? Frankly, I'm just kind of guessing here...

[He tries to bring one to mind, staring into the glass. Time spent with his 'dear uncle' outside of here.
There's a flicker of an image, sure. It's a memory, after all. But before it can become solid, it collapses.]
... Huh?

[He doesn't wait for Xeha to step aside. There are enough mirrors around that they both give it a go. His own memory is a simple one. The castle as he remembers it, before it fell to the darkness. It takes a moment, but sure enough, the image fades into sight.
Unlike Xeha's though, the memory seems to stay solid.]

[And when he tries the same thing, it does at least stay put longer than the last one did. At least it's a memory of a real place - even if the context it's in is wrong.]

[There's a moment of concentration, and then the vision of the castle shifts into the castle as he'd last seen it, before they went on their quest to save the worlds. It's not a lovely picture, but by the way it's staying, it's a proper memory.]

What happened? What are you trying to...!

[Flailing a bit here. Hell, of course he likes being important. Who wouldn't? But the context of it all...]

[He laughs slightly, kicking at the ground. That sounds a bit better, though.]

And Vanitas isn't really related to you either.
no subject
... And it's all like that? All like - how you're showing me the castle?
