[There's a place that looks awfully like Castle Oblivion, here. And a rather confused looking white-haired boy stepping into it, out of a room full of the sounds of wild falling waters. He turns, looking back the way he came, yelling back-]

Grandfather? Terra? Can you see this? I-

[Peek in. Peek out. Rub his head. Something's wrong - something's very wrong. But he'd just stepped from home, with his grandfather-namesake and his older brother and all his family, to out here, and that isn't something that's supposed to happen. You don't just - step out of the world. Not out of somewhere you're meant to fit in.

Still, curiosity's built into Xehanort almost by definition. Muttering directions under his breath to make sure things are okay, he heads onwards, through the shining white corridors... because he's going to get to the bottom of this.

The fact that he never had a grandfather or a brother in that sense isn't occurring to him right now.
Nor is the fact that the room's changing behind him.]

[Sora is a teeeensy tiny bit lost. it's the white walls, honestly, she's managed to lose track of which direction she came from after poking her head in a few rooms here and there. go figure.]

Hey...

[He rubs his head. He knows her, he knows he does. That's Sora, right? But something's not adding up. Something doesn't fit.

Still, friends are friends, even in these odd circumstances. And he gives her a wave.]

Do you know what's going on here?

Oh, hey! What do you mean? I mean, the halls here have been kind of weird, but I haven't noticed anything really happening aside from me getting lost.

You got lost? [His face falls.] I ... think I can see how, though. Come on. I know the way back home.

[the wording is a little weird, but she doesn't see anything wrong with following him! why would she?]

[He looks around, moving quickly; hasn't gone too far as of yet - and stops.]

I don't know what's going on, but it was just through this -

[she's starting to realize something is wrong here and takes a step back, scratching the scar on her arm.]

What was there before?

You know - home! Everything was there!

[He looks over at her, puzzlement on his face. Why is she even asking?]

Xeha, I think... I need to explain some stuff.

[she looks pretty concerned now, and reaches to take him by the arm gently.]

Come on, once we find our way out of these white halls you'll see.

[He'll slightly grudgingly let her lead him away. Honestly, as ever? He just wants answers.]

I was certain this was the way! What are you talking about? What am I missing?

I don't know if... if you're a different Xeha or if something's happened to your head, but as far as I know, you've been here for a while now. You should know what's going on.

[with someone else with her, especially someone who needs an explanation, it's a little easier for her to really work and find the way out of the white halls.]

How - a different - as in more than one of me? How does that even work? What do you mean?

[Yeah. Please return your Xehanort to an approved dealer for a service. He looks a bit baffled, which isn't an expression that sits easily on his face.]

I know I should know what's going on. That's the whole problem, Sora. But all of a sudden I can't get home and something is deeply wrong...

It's this... different universes thing. Did you know most of the Soras here are boys? It's pretty weird.

[actually what's really weird is the fact that Xeha doesn't seem weirded out by her being female. that's what's got her thinking this isn't just a new Xehanort. it's not long before they make it back to the main hallways.]

Okay, I'm gonna be honest. I think there's something going on with your head, because pretty much every version of a world with a male Xehanort also has male Soras. Even the you I know isn't from a world with a female one. We became friends here.

[she'll keep leading him through. maybe they can stop at a kitchen and get something to drink.]

That - that's insane. Then again, this whole place is. [A little dramatically, he gestures to the world around.]

Sora, you know I trust you, but this is completely ridiculous! We've known each other since ... since... [Good question. Weakly, he finishes-] we were kids... how am I supposed to believe this?

Xeha, I didn't even meet the Xehanort in my world until I was fourteen, and even then it wasn't really... well, it was just a part of... her.

'A part of her?' Your world?

[He drops his head into his hands.]

But I remember it all...

[Just a happy life. Friends; alright, they might have hung around in their own circles, especially since he qualified for the apprenticeship, but that didn't stop...]

What are you telling me to believe?

[she chews her lip for a moment, then shakes her head.]

Nevermind that. I guess it's just a coincidence and you really are a new Xeha.

[oh, now there's an idea! she could call the regular one!]

[He looks down.]

I'm sorry if I've wasted your time.

Oh, don't worry.

[she nudges him gently, smiling as she digs out her phone.]

You haven't wasted my time. I'm always happy to help a Xeha!

[That earns a smile back, if only a weak one. It sounds right, still, and he's glad of it.]

Well, since you're new, I guess I'll give you the welcome speech and stuff. Lemme just call the Xeha I know first?

[time to give him a ring!]

[He nods. Perhaps he'll be able to explain things to himself better. Or something. That still sounds too strange.]

Yeah. Okay. I'm sure he'll-

[And there's a sudden ring. Dah, dadah, da da daa- he just about jumps, and does the flailing patdown of anyone who forgot where they put their phone. ...Moreso, in his case, the patdown of someone who didn't even think he had it on him.]

How did-?

[Yep. Caller ID's saying what it shouldn't be saying.]

[Sora slowly lowers the phone, ending the call and staring at it.]

Right, this is getting weird.
