[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

[he figures Riku has seen him before is all.]

Do you mind if we keep walking?

Yeah, sure. Sorry.

It's no problem, I just don't want to keep my Riku waiting too long.

You live with a Riku who wears a collar, right?

Yeah, that's my Riku.

[he tilts his head a bit.]

You've met him, I'm guessing?

[lightyin]

Yeah. I've only seen him a couple times, though.

[Not that Riku actively searches him out.]

[he just nods understandingly.]

He doesn't go out all that much, unfortunately.

[lightyin]

[He'd ask why, but he'd rather find something else to talk about at the moment. That bag's caught his interest.]

That's got to be boring. What's in the bag?

Hair stuff.

[he didn't have scissors he'd want to use to cut someone's hair, and he wanted to get a couple other things as well.]

He hasn't had a haircut in ages.

[lightyin]

[That makes Riku examine his own hair. He hasn't had a haircut for about three years, despite protests from various people.]

Probably had one more recently than I have.

[seasides]

Maybe. Still, it seems time for one. Maybe I'll get Axel to agree to a hair cut as well... I have no idea how long it's been since he's had one.

[pondering that now hmmmm.]

No idea here either. I probably don't know him or what he currently looks like.

[He personally knows one Axel--the one from his world. Red doesn't count, as he's never seen Red in his normal form.]

[Red isn't an Axel anyway. he nods a bit.]

You may have seen him around. He's got pretty long hair, has a habit of going out with as little clothing as possible...

[but not utterly naked, of course. or just in his underwear or anything.]

There aren't a whole lot of Axels around anymore.

[Close enough.]

Probably. He has red hair, right?

Of course. Axels tend to.

They do, yeah. I was just making sure.

[They come in brown-haired, too. At least according to his experience.]

Why's that?

[oh yes, he's quite knowledgeable about that brown-haired Axel. unfortunately.]

[lightyin]

There's an Axel around here that I'd prefer to avoid. But he's got brown hair.

[Riku isn't (unfortunately?)]

[Kai falters, looking surprised and then concerned.]

That... one. I know that one, too. He's- he's technically not an Axel. He didn't do anything to you, did he? Attack you?

[lightyin]

He looks enough like one. He didn't do anything to me, but he attacked the girl Riku.

[Things you already know, let him tell you them.]

[seasides]

I... I know. She called me.

[he swallows, remembering the scene he arrived at. Riku bleeding out. Red torn and bloody and burnt and dead.]

I healed her.

[lightyin]

I'm glad you could.

[Not that he thinks Kai couldn't, but he himself is only minimally helpful when it comes to healing stuffs.]

...I'm sorry for bringing up bad memories.

It's alright. He, uh. actually managed to kill someone, though, before he decided being free was no fun when he still had those cuffs on him.

What were the cuffs for?

[Apparently not for restraint, unless they were doing a horrible job.]
