[ There are some things Riku just isn't very good at. Ice-skating is one of them. This is only a problem as the streets have frozen over completely. It's cold enough that snow could start (and stick) any day now. Has that fountain always been there? Probably. Now it's iced over, a frozen work of art spilling out into the streets. It's almost hard to find ground that isn't coated in a thick layer of ice. Riku's holding onto a lamp post, trying to get her footing enough to get back to the apartments. She's not the only one. I mean, there's a tentacle monster trying to suck on a piece of ice still attached to the fountain. ]

He's only specifically pissed me off a couple of times. The rest of the time I don't exactly like the guy, but he does make you happy. It's hard to explain. Y'want a bag for your stuff?

[technically, the very act of putting something in your mouth can make the thing phallic, but w/e. he pauses at one of the useless checkout lanes to grab several paper bags to put the smaller/colder/round items in once he gets home, so shit isn't getting dropped everywhere on the way into the house.]

[because he's wheeling the cart home anyway, and bagging stuff now would involve taking things out, bagging them, putting the bags in the cart, and then taking them out again at the house. TOO MUCH WORK. but uh, here, have a bag.]

Hey, if you don't want me carrying you again once we're outside, you could ride on the cart.

[She takes the bag and gives Axel a look. Then the cart. Then Axel again.]

Even if my pride could handle it, I'm afraid to know what kind of ride that would be.

[Okay that brightens her up a little. In that it makes it hard for her to resist smiling. (She manages a little, though. She's a Riku, after all.)]
