[an eerie fog has quickly overtaken a portion of Radiant Garden. if one happens to notice the odd, wet sound of metal beating on flesh and investigates, they will find Sora, dressed unusually (third outfit), in the middle of beating what appears to be a dead dog repeatedly with a pipe. though this may seem oddly cruel for her, a closer look at the dog will explain things somewhat. Sora's expression is full of fear and panic; she clearly has no idea what's happening or why instead of her sword, she summoned a simple, rusty pipe. she doesn't even notice the faint static coming from the radio in one of her vest's pockets. please, do be careful out there.]

(ooc: another early halloween costume, silent hill protagonist get. reposting after deleting it before oops. set during daytime, though the area is also quite dark for daylight hours, aside from the fog. lamp posts will be flickering occasionally, there may be the sound of movement nearby, though nothing will attack; for now any Silent Hill monsters that show up around Sora will be focused entirely on her thanks to the costume.)

[she forces herself to take a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment.]

...okay. Thanks, Riku. But what if they keep coming until Halloween is over? I wouldn't want you to have to stick around that long.

You can stay in my apartment?

[How can she not offer, gosh. It's Sora.]

They probably won't come that way.

Are you sure?

[they're going to wake up in the Otherworld one day.]

I don't want to intrude...

[God why. ~~Can you just imagine the kind of monsters Riku would see?~~]

And I don't want you to be constantly on the run from those things. Do you want to stay over tonight, at least?

[there'd be genital monsters everywhere and Sora would be really confused.]

Yeah, I do.

[she really doesn't want to be alone right now, or in the foreseeable future, even. she sighs and stands back up after a moment, looking around the room they're in. something catches her eye and she makes her way over, pushing a few things out of the way so she can pick it up.]

...a gun?

[Riku would be so horrified. The mention of a gun catches her attention, and she sweeps some of her hair out of the way to walk closer, glancing back at the door over her shoulder along the way.]

A gun? What's that doing just sitting around?

I dunno!

[she has no idea how to use one, but... somehow when she picks it up, it's like something clicks. ~~after all, Silent Hill protagonists always seem to know how to use them.~~ she checks to see if it's loaded, then frowns and looks around.]

There's no bullets...

[Riku's looking at her like she's crazy.]

Do you know how to handle that?

I- shouldn't? I've never even held a gun before! I guess this really is a costume...

Don't point it at me.

[Whether or not she has magical knowledge of how to handle guns, it's Sora. Not that Riku doesn't trust her, but.]

It's not even loaded!

[besides, she'd never point it at Riku anyway.]

[Now. Who knows what the DR might do with it?]

[true enough. either way, she's just going to pocket it. it's not like it's useful right now.]

Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for bullets... think the gun would be more useful against that big one?

More than a pipe? Sure.

[Not to mention it would give her some distance.]

But I don't know where you'll find any bullets.

I guess I'll just hope for the best... if those monsters don't stop showing up.

Hopefully they'll stop. Or at least won't show up that often. You don't need a month of this.

How long should we stay here? What if we leave and they're right outside?

Then we'll fight our way through them and get back to the apartments.

[She's going to take her hair and separate it into two sections and start twisting them together. ]

Right. D'you want some help with that?

Yeah, that'd be nice.

[Because this certainly isn't an easy or quick job.]

[Sora's not really adept at braiding or anything, but they don't need perfection right now!]

[psh no she's not even really braiding so much as twisting. She just doesn't want them loose. Though for such loose, long hair, it's extremely strong and healthy.]

[she's kind of amazed by all the hair. if the monsters weren't still a threat, she'd probably ask Riku about it!]

[She'll have time later, when things aren't after her.]

I wish I could at least cut this a little shorter.
