[Red was overdue for a female switch it seems, as that's what he currently is. Oddly enough, he also has a pair of horns coming out of his skull (though scaled to better fit on a human head, of course), and there are a few bats clinging to them. He's standing in front of a fire that is giving off a whole lot of oddly green smoke, and the whole thing smells sort of sickeningly sweet. What in the hell is he burning?]

What are you doing?
no subject
[One of the bats is going to flit over to say hello to Riku. Red just grins sharply at her, then turns back to the fire.]
Would you believe it's a funeral pyre?
no subject
Maybe. Why would you need one?
no subject
[He's so considerate. The sickeningly sweet smell is all the poison in there, neutralized in such a way that it is absolutely okay to inhale the air around here. Aside from the normal smoke-related health hazards.]
no subject
Sorry for your loss, then.
no subject
It happens. I should have made sure her tank was more secure, but whatever.
no subject
Mm... What's with the horns?

What is that?
no subject
[He gestures to the flames.]
It's called a fire.
no subject
[She cuts off abruptly, her attention back on Red.]
Are you a girl?
no subject
[And so calm about it, too. Next thing you know she'll be mentioning his horns!]
It happens occasionally.

Lovely horns you've got. [Completely serious and honest, yes.]

Thanks.

[He wiggles his fingers. ~So mysterious~.]
no subject
Of course.
They look a bit heavy.
no subject
[His gaze travels back to the fire, because he's not a huge fan of Axels as is; staring at a distinctly odd-proportioned one is not exactly high on his to-do list.]

[Coming from him, it's disputable whether that's a compliment or an insult.]

[Honestly, he has way better taste. One of the bats chirps, which seems to be a cue to the others as they all take off. They do not like Riku, apparently.]
no subject
Horns, green smoke... She preferred a crow to bats though.
no subject
[He's played the games, after all.]
The green's not magic here, though.
no subject
[He hasn't come much closer. He's a little weirded out by Red being female.]
