[Momxene is a woman on a mission.

What with the trouble she's had with a certain vampire recently, she's finally started looking for ways to protect herself. In particular, she wants to keep him out of her head, but she wouldn't complain about being able to hurt him for real while she's at it.

So isn't it lucky, then, that the vampire room is still around? As before, it's stocked with goods both pro- and anti-vampire; it shouldn't be hard to guess which section she headed to. Akane's with her as well, but with so many weapons around Larx is keeping a close eye on her.

She left the door open, since she finally got ahold of a child-sized black coat for Akane in case they need to make a quick portal escape. Sneaking up on them isn't recommended, though, since Larxene will still attack first if startled. ~~which means you should totally sneak up on them~~]

[more like he knows he'd be taking some damage, and that would mean needing even more blood to help himself heal. he doesn't want to fight her anyway, even if she didn't have a kid.]

[nah, he isn't going to attack her. he's more concerned about the kid, really, after piecing together what he's learned so far.]

From what you've just told me, there's another vampire that likes to mess with your head. What if he can't get in?

... that would be nice, yeah.

[she tries to stomp down the swell of hope that comes with those words. Surely he doesn't mean he knows how to stop Axel. She's never that lucky anymore.]

Look, I'm probably not as strong as he is, but I've been a vampire for over a year now. I've managed to learn a few tricks... if you're interested.

[oh goodie, he found the.. mini-fridge with bags of blood inside. brb pulling one out and looking to see if he's supposed to open it a certain way.]

[Akane's getting pretty fidgety having to stay in one place. >:]

[he's wondering if he has to add stabbing.. she is a Larxene after all.]

[he could put Akane in a trance to make her far less fussy, but he really doesn't think Larxene would like that. especially since that's how he gets into people's heads for food.]

We should probably find somewhere else to do it, somewhere where we can sit down.

Might want to take kiddo here back to her dad first.

[Riku approves. it's good that there aren't a lot of people here, as well. he still has a spare bag of blood he'd grabbed earlier, and settles close to the middle of the room with it, wishing it were warm and fresh.]

Go ahead and get comfortable. I promise, I won't try biting you.

[settles onto a cushion, but to say she relaxes would be a blatant lie]

[holds up the bag. it wouldn't be good to let it just sit out, after all. she can think of it as a way to know at least he won't be hungry afterward.]

[she should just look away then, because not finding any other (or neater) way to open it has him simply biting into the bag with his fangs. if the expression on his face is anything to judge by, it doesn't taste nearly as good as fresh blood from the source does.]

[don't be getting any ideas, now. anyway, she'll be patient.]

[he'd be lying if he said the thought hadn't crossed his mind, but he did promise. he finishes the bag pretty quickly, the taste bad enough that he just wants to get it over with. he'll just... toss the bag to the side for now.]

Ugh.. Anyway. What do you know about how this other vampire reads your mind. Can you feel him doing it?

More or less. I wasn't able to at first but he's done it enough that I think I can tell now.

He can control someone, too. Freeze them so he gets a free meal.

[her hands curl into fists on her lap, sparks dancing across the knuckles.]

[he notices that, and will definitely not mention that he can give people mental suggestions to do close to the same thing.]

Careful, it wouldn't be good if this room caught fire.

[especially since it may very well kill him, to be trapped in a room of fire. if it didn't, he'd likely be in a feeding frenzy to take whatever blood he can find to heal the damage. neither of which is appealing to him.]

[Oh. Didn't realize she was doing that. The sparks go out.]

Well... I'm not sure if it's the same with him, but when I try to read someone's thoughts, I've found that some people have a natural mental block that keeps me out.
