well, technically true. Kai's in the beach room today, dozing on a beach blanket and dressed in only a pair of swim trunks, with faint scarring on his stomach all that's left of the attack on his Gemini. he'd gone swimming earlier, just enjoying some alone time. after all, with all the shit that happened in August, making him miss having a proper birthday (as well as making Axel miss his), he figures he deserved some time to just relax. of course, now that he's had some of that time, he won't mind if he's woken up.]


(ooc: So he turned 18 last month. :V)

[it might take a while, especially since Riku isn't someone who really pings his WAKE UP AND BE ALERT senses.]

[A winner is her. She doesn't really have the heart to wake him up when she finds him there, to be honest. So it'll be a little while before she eventually will close the (several feet of) distance she keeps as she walks along the water's edge.

At which point she will plop down in the sand.]

[eventually he'll wake up, cracking one eye open to peer at her before smiling.]

[creeps in silently, bare-footed and dressed in rumpled sleep clothing that's still fitting him a little loosely. he takes a moment to breathe the fresh air, and then pads over to Kai and flops down next to him, draping an arm over him and pressing a light kiss to Kai's bare shoulder. he made sure to leave him alone for a good long while, but then the beach room kinda sounded nice, so here he is.]

[he's very grateful for the time alone, and will make sure Axel knows that once he's awake. but he doesn't wake up immediately, instead moving to curl against him a bit with a content sigh.]

*really goes now, after saving a billion more bunny photos*

[snuggles him a little tighter, resting his cheek against Kai's hair. he could probably doze off here pretty easily too; he's on much better terms with water in general lately, for obvious reasons.]

[it'll be a little while before he wakes up, whether Axel ends up dozing or not. he doesn't move when he opens his eyes, smiling faintly and closing them again to lean in and nuzzle at Axel's neck a bit.]
