[most of Kai's friends know by now that he likes meditating in a certain outdoor room under a certain tree. but anyone remotely near that garden, possibly even those who aren't too good at sensing it, might feel that burst of Light. it seems a bit chaotic, and peeking into the garden will show Kai slumped forward, Light rising off him like smoke. it still feels like his, but it's... too strong, too bright. like he doesn't have complete control over it. maybe meditating while worrying so much about Rikka and the whole End of the Dressing Room plot Demon had told him about was a bad idea.]

[lets Akane out of her stroller to play in the grass, since that was half the point of venturing out here to begin with]

[it takes a moment before his head snaps up, wide-eyed as he stares at her; there's no pupil, no iris, just more Light whiting out his eyes completely and making them glow. there's no recognition on his face at the moment, mostly because he can't really see her, nor is there anything said in reply to the question.]

[Akane's starting to toddle off away from Larxene- she reaches out and grabs her daughter's arm to keep her close.]

[Avani was on the way to the library to get some books for her brother when she sensed all that Light and peeked in.

Hey she may have only met Kai once, back when they were doodling on the glass wall together during that spell, but she does remember him. She kinda hangs back by the door due to the Light however.]
