[Kai is in a room he's been in before, dressed in a pair of long shorts and a t-shirt. he's seated by the edge of the pond, playing Disney Princess again- that is, he's surrounded by animals. there's a sparrow nesting on his head as well as some hanging out around him, and a number of ducks and even a couple swans in a semi-circle between him and the water. Apricot is dozing in his lap, most of the fish are milling about in the half of the pond closest to him, and there's a turtle that keeps tipping over as it tries to climb onto his foot. he rights it once again, then after a moment of thought he nudges Apricot aside slightly so there's enough room on his lap to put the small turtle. bunny sniffs at the turtle sleepily, then pushes at the shell lightly with a paw and goes back to dozing.]

There, you're up. Now stop knocking yourself over.

(ooc: ...I don't even know. I wanted to post, but couldn't think of an idea.)

[But she's smiling! Apparently she's doing okay under the weight of the birds.]

[he'll pick up one of the farther ducks, which only protests until he gets some food for it.]

[Did it quack. ~~Is it an Axel.~~]

Do I look like a scarecrow?

[yes. ~~and no~~]

You're too pretty to be a scarecrow.

[She looks at him when he says that, a small smirk on her face.]

Really.

Well it's true!

[That makes her snort and look back at the birds.]

[he's going to start spreading some feed on the ground now so Riku's birdload can be lightened a bit.]

[Oh, that's much better, thank you. Maybe she'll actually be able to move again at some point.]

[soon, it seems! there's enough feed on the ground that most of them are heading down there.]

[She's not really sad to see them go, though she feels much better after that whole experience.]

Kai?

Yeah?

[pauses in sprinkling some feed on top of one of the ducks.]

Thanks.

[He's getting a surprisingly warm and friendly smile. Or maybe not so surprising on the friendly part, since it is Kai. He's seen her smile more than anyone else in the DR.]

[and she's getting a tight, one-armed hug for a moment. it's always a nice thing, seeing that smile.]

[It's nice to smile. But it's even better getting hugs. And look, Kai can have one too.]

[Kai loves hugs, especially when they're from his bff. hugs and birds. this is a nice moment!]

[It's a Kodak moment! Riku looks at him for a second, very thoughtful, then turns back to the animals.]

[why so thoughtful? and they're probably running out of feed by now.]

[Because Riku. Also she misses this.]

That was fun while it lasted.

I bet they trust you enough by now that you could come back here without me sometime.

That'd be nice.

[The chocobos certainly don't trust her anymore.]

[she can gain their trust again one day. :C]

[She will try her best! Maybe she'll pull Kai along for it. She'd take Ri, but, well. ...sadface.]

[...no sadface allowed. Kai would totally go to the stables with her.]

[She won't be asking him any time soon. The closer it gets to the full moon, you know. She also won't be bringing up Ri, since she doesn't want to be a downer.]
