[Kai is in a room he's been in before, dressed in a pair of long shorts and a t-shirt. he's seated by the edge of the pond, playing Disney Princess again- that is, he's surrounded by animals. there's a sparrow nesting on his head as well as some hanging out around him, and a number of ducks and even a couple swans in a semi-circle between him and the water. Apricot is dozing in his lap, most of the fish are milling about in the half of the pond closest to him, and there's a turtle that keeps tipping over as it tries to climb onto his foot. he rights it once again, then after a moment of thought he nudges Apricot aside slightly so there's enough room on his lap to put the small turtle. bunny sniffs at the turtle sleepily, then pushes at the shell lightly with a paw and goes back to dozing.]

There, you're up. Now stop knocking yourself over.

(ooc: ...I don't even know. I wanted to post, but couldn't think of an idea.)

[and she's getting a tight, one-armed hug for a moment. it's always a nice thing, seeing that smile.]

[It's nice to smile. But it's even better getting hugs. And look, Kai can have one too.]

[Kai loves hugs, especially when they're from his bff. hugs and birds. this is a nice moment!]

[It's a Kodak moment! Riku looks at him for a second, very thoughtful, then turns back to the animals.]

[why so thoughtful? and they're probably running out of feed by now.]

[Because Riku. Also she misses this.]

That was fun while it lasted.

I bet they trust you enough by now that you could come back here without me sometime.

That'd be nice.

[The chocobos certainly don't trust her anymore.]

[she can gain their trust again one day. :C]

[She will try her best! Maybe she'll pull Kai along for it. She'd take Ri, but, well. ...sadface.]

[...no sadface allowed. Kai would totally go to the stables with her.]

[She won't be asking him any time soon. The closer it gets to the full moon, you know. She also won't be bringing up Ri, since she doesn't want to be a downer.]

[well, they could go after the full moon. and she's free to bring up Ri; downer or not, that's something to talk about.]

[After is good. She doesn't really want to talk about it, because that turns it into a problem, and she is absolutely certain he's going to show up again any day now.

But he's free to comment on the suddenly downcast aura she's giving off.]

[it gets a frown, at the very least.]

What's wrong?

[Erk. She scratches at the back of her head, shrugging.]

Thought about Ri.

[s-sadfaces briefly.]

Ah. Yeah, he's... a little different right now, isn't he.

[Half-smiles.]

Understatement. I don't even know him.

Yeah... No offense to that Ri, but I really hope it doesn't last much longer, you know?

Mm. Yeah. He's Ri, but...

[But she wants her friend back.]

What do you think happened?

Not sure. Could just be this place thought things were getting too boring with him the way he was? But... it isn't the same without him. There won't be the same reactions to stuff, once he's actually hit with something. I don't think it'll be "entertaining" enough to keep him like that.

[he hopes.]

Probably not. But that makes sense.

[And here she just thought this place was cruel.]

[he tends to do a whole lot of thinking about odd things.]

Did it? I wasn't sure.

Yeah, it did. Maybe you know this place too well.
