[Kai is in a room he's been in before, dressed in a pair of long shorts and a t-shirt. he's seated by the edge of the pond, playing Disney Princess again- that is, he's surrounded by animals. there's a sparrow nesting on his head as well as some hanging out around him, and a number of ducks and even a couple swans in a semi-circle between him and the water. Apricot is dozing in his lap, most of the fish are milling about in the half of the pond closest to him, and there's a turtle that keeps tipping over as it tries to climb onto his foot. he rights it once again, then after a moment of thought he nudges Apricot aside slightly so there's enough room on his lap to put the small turtle. bunny sniffs at the turtle sleepily, then pushes at the shell lightly with a paw and goes back to dozing.]

There, you're up. Now stop knocking yourself over.


(ooc: ...I don't even know. I wanted to post, but couldn't think of an idea.)

[Hey, look who it is, slooowly making her way inside-- Riku. Why is there a chocobo feather in your hair.]

[well, there's a whole lot of noise, and animals taking off, and he's knocked over by one of the swans-- those buggers are big, and can cause quite a bit of pain. mostly at this point, he'll just be ignoring that bird-caused scratch he's acquired, and attempting to keep the corgi from the turtle that is flailing in his lap.

oh, and there's a very angry bunny between Kai and the dog now, all puffed up and baring its teeth while it hisses.]

This turtle, it's trying to be a monkey or something.

[he sees that feather, and grins a little.]

I don't think it's built for it.

[Believe in your dreams, little guy! And hey, it's not funny. Riku has no idea it's there.]

It doesn't seem to care.

[well, it seems content in his lap, at least. also he's pointing to around where the feather is, but on his own head.]

You've got a little something there.

Hey, BACK OFF!

[you want challenging displays? fine. he doesn't appreciate his pet being threatened like that when it was the dog that started all this. he's pulling the hissing rabbit closer, eyes narrowed dangerously as light flares up in a visible, fire-like aura around him. don't you threaten his babybun.]

What?

[She blinks at him for a moment, rather stupidly, then reaches up to touch her face and her hair and-- ah, pull a feather away.]

[he looks amused and didn't notice himself rhyming, because that was unintentional and scritches some bunny ears while watching her.]

[oh, he is not pleased, and it shows quite well in his expression. especially since all that Dark is no doubt frightening the animals. more Light comes up, spreading outward in a swiftly growing dome; he's in good health, recently meditated, and most importantly, angry, so his Light is pretty strong at the moment. he's not pulling either of his weapons out just yet, but he's about ready to.]

YOUR DOG COMES IN HERE AND FRIGHTENS ALL THE ANIMALS, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME TO BACK OFF? GET THE HELL OUT.

[It is a bright yellow feather, and it looks like it came from a big one. Riku shakes her had and makes her way over to him.]

Probably when I was running for my life.

[Pause.]

I was checking on the chocobos.

[seasides]

[how did she not notice that in her hair.]

[Do you not see how thick her hair is?]

[...oh. the Light abruptly shrinks in, becoming much more solid as the dome becomes more of a shield, and he watches with wide eyes. that's definitely pretty frightening, but... he glances at the dog for a moment. the other animals have all gone to hide by now, and the turtle and rabbit he's holding to him are both quite scared.]

You're scaring him, you know.

Any idea why?

Look, Apricot was... just trying to defend me, because your dog just came rushing in here and scared everything. I get that Saix is a jerk, believe me, so I'm not too surprised with how he treats the dog... but there are other outdoor rooms, and you could always get a leash for him or something, just while in the halls.

[slowly lets his Light disappear, stroking his bunny gently and trying to coax the turtle from its shell.]

And I'm sorry I yelled about it. Your dog has as much of a right to be here as any other animal, but things happened very quickly.

[It might be a werewolf thing. She shrugs, waving the feather at his face once she's close enough.]

[oh right that thing. he snorts, batting the feather away- but Apricot is now interested in it, and climbing over the turtle to jump at Riku.]

I'm aware of that.

[SIGH why do you bring about such mixed feelings. HE WANTS TO DISLIKE YOU, DEMON, yet you keep saying and doing things that make him feel bad.]
