[ There is a Riku sitting on the beach, completely soaked. But she hasn't been in the water. It's raining loudly, thunder cracking across the ocean. There's an open and abandoned umbrella at her side, and the sand all around her is smooth and clear, except for the messy remains of her footsteps. It gives the feeling that everything's been washed clean. Propped up against the doorway sits a stroller; yes, she has her baby with her, but unlike his mother, he's quite protected, bundled up in a tiny raincoat and extra clothes underneath. He's quite safe. And while that coat has a hood, that's all there is to shielding his face. There's no point in hiding him anymore. ]

[Blegh, babies. He'll be scowling over in that direction there and considering leaving.]

[Wuss. Riku's bouncing Aden a little (who is not wailing quite so loudly now that he's getting what he wants), and raising an eyebrow at Red.]

[Not a wuss. Children are only good for scaring.]

[Yeah, that's why you tolerate lil' Kairi. Riku looks disbelieving.]

If you have something else to say, then get it out now.

[She doesn't count okay. He just shakes his head.]

Nah, I think it'd be better if I just left.

[She counts. Riku tilts her head, still gently bouncing (the now only slightly fussy) Aden.]

If you think so.

[He nods, and breaks off away from them- he'll lift a hand in farewell though.]

[She nods, then tilts her head, putting on a very careful expression.]

You don't plan on avoiding her, do you?

[Looks back at her, calm.]

Why would I?

I don't know. Not exactly, anyway. Things stopped going the same for me when you found out.

[She shifts Aden, rubbing his back gently.]

That's why I'm asking.

I won't be avoiding her.

Good.

[She doesn't look amazingly happy about it or anything, but she certainly likes that answer.]

She's probably worried about that.

That's because you're both stupid.

[Grumpyface.]

[That breaks her serious expression enough to get a smile.]

Hey, I've gotten better. She's got a long way to go.

No kidding.

[Not that he doesn't, too.]

Give it time.

[Yeah she's thinking that, but not saying it.]

Mm.

[Not like there's much of a choice regarding "giving it time." But he can wait~.]

[No, he can't speed up time. Which is a good thing, she'd say. She's going to look down at Aden, then back at Red.]

And try to wipe off that face, would you?

[Grumpybutt.]

[PLAYING OBLIVIOUS.]

[Don't play dumb with her, young man.]

I have no idea what you're talking about.

[He'll play dumb with whoever he likes, grandma.]

[Oh look at that smirk. She could kick your ass even if she was a grandma.]

You can do better than that. But if you want to walk around grumpy for no reason, be my guest.

[That's not exactly a huge feat.]

I want to go think. Is that a crime?

I'm not stopping you. I just don't want to see you think so much it creates a problem.
