[there's a Nami seated on the floor in a room done up in soft blues and greens, papers scattered around him. on the papers are various things; people, places, snapshots in time, fixed in coloured pencil- they all have two things in common: the dressing room and Kai. Nami's almost done fixing Kai's current memory problem, and will probably be completely finished in the next day or so. at the moment he's started on what looks like a riverside clearing in a forest.]

[of course he wouldn't mind.]

So once Kai's memories are fixed, I'll wake him up and this body will change back to his appearance.

[captive_destiny]

[he'll come to kneel down next to Nami, then.]

What happens to you?

[seasides]

Well, this isn't my body at all. I'll just go back into his head like I was in the first place.

[captive_destiny]

It seems so strange to hear someone talk like that. I've never actually met someone that had... merged with their Nobody before.

[seasides]

It happens in most worlds, after Xemnas is defeated.

[captive_destiny]

Oh. Mine didn't work that way. I'm glad yours did, though.

[seasides]

[that gets a sad smile.]

Do you know everything Kai knows?

[seasides]

I pay attention to the important things.

[captive_destiny]

[that makes the tips of Riku's ears turn pink. he hadn't thought that he'd be much to consider as something important]

O-oh. Are you really going to put back... everything?

[seasides]

Everything I can, yeah.

[gosh, of course you're important, Riku.]

[captive_destiny]

...even the things he might not want to remember?

[can you tell he's tiptoeing around this.]

[seasides]

[he looks upset for a moment before nodding.]

I've asked him before.

[captive_destiny]

[he's a little upset too, after reading Kai's notes and finding out things Kai might not have wanted him to know]

I guess... It wouldn't be fair if other people, like you or Axel knew what had happened to him and he couldn't remember.

[seasides]

[he doesn't mind Riku knowing, though Nami wouldn't know to tell him that.]

No, it wouldn't. I offered the first time it almost happened, in the place he was before... I was unmerged for a while then. But he didn't want me to do it.

I see... I won't ask for you to do that for him then.

[seasides]

It's good that you respect that.

[captive_destiny]

Is there anything I can do that will help?

[seasides]

Well...

[he actually looks faintly embarrassed here.]

Not with the process itself, but I've been trying to make sure Kai's body is staying fed and all that. But I don't know how to cook, so I've mostly been having sandwiches. If it's not too much to ask, could you maybe make me something after I've finished here?

[captive_destiny]

Sure, I don't mind. Is there anything you know you like that you might want me to make?

[seasides]

[shakes his head.]

I haven't exactly had the opportunity to try a whole lot.

[captive_destiny]

I could try one of the recipes the uh, other Kai and I found.

[seasides]

If you'd like. I definitely wouldn't mind.

We'd need to stop by his office to get it. I didn't think to memorize it.
