[there's a Nami seated on the floor in a room done up in soft blues and greens, papers scattered around him. on the papers are various things; people, places, snapshots in time, fixed in coloured pencil- they all have two things in common: the dressing room and Kai. Nami's almost done fixing Kai's current memory problem, and will probably be completely finished in the next day or so. at the moment he's started on what looks like a riverside clearing in a forest.]

[they'll... stay blank before slowly going a bit blue tinged, but that's it.]

...huh. That's different.

[ducks his head a bit as though embarrassed.]

The most comforting place I've been has been Kai's head, which doesn't really have an... image, I guess.

It would be a little strange if it did, I think.

[oh well, over to the desk! where did Kai put those recipes.]

[seasides]

[they're all filed neatly on the top. he didn't see any reason to tuck the recipes away.]

[would Nami like to come over and help Riku find one that isn't too complicated?]

[seasides]

[suuuuure, though he's not really the best judge of that.]

[captive_destiny]

[at least this way he has some say in what it is he'd like to eat]

[true! here, have a random recipe because mun is still asleep. |D]

[...pineapple shish-kabob it is then.]

[ooh, that works!]

[captive_destiny]

[if Nami's agreeable, then Riku will lead the way to the kitchen, now that that's been settled. aside from when he's around Kai, this would be the most relaxed Riku's been around another male in a while.]

[seasides]

[Nami would be horrified if Riku ever thought he'd do anything, so that's good. :/ and he's just going to follow quietly.]

[it's a good thing Nami hasn't taken to wearing the Organization coat, then.]

[ew, no. he dislikes it.]

[captive_destiny]

[kitchen, get? he'll set the recipe on the counter, looking over the list of ingredients. luckily, it mostly calls for pineapple and pork with a few spices]

[seasides]

[that's pretty different from what he's been eating lately, so he's looking forward to it!]

[captive_destiny]

Hm.. I don't see anything that looks like an indoor grill, do you?

[seasides]

[peers around before shaking his head.]

No.

[captive_destiny]

We'll have to improvise, then. Do you know of a way Kai would have done it?

[seasides]

[shakes his head.]

I don't think he's done that recipe since getting here.

[captive_destiny]

This is probably why.

[hunts around the kitchen a bit, eventually coming up with a pan after eying the oven]

I think broiling will work. This oven has a setting for it.

[seasides]

[nods thoughtfully. he doesn't know much about cooking, so it's more of a nod-your-head-and-agree thing.]

[captive_destiny]

[now that he's got everything he needs, he's giving Nami as much attention as he would Kai]

Did you want something to drink while you wait?

[seasides]

I can get that myself, it's okay.

[he's not used to anyone other than Kai or Axel giving him a lot of attention, really. the positive kind anyway.]
