THE BALL

[Today is the day of the ball, and as such the entry to the Grand Ball Room is wide open, a sound of music echoing through the halls. Not too far away are signs pointing to the general area, intended to help those who are new as well as remind those who are interested.

The room itself seems incredibly clean, thanks to a few enchanted brooms, some of which are still there to clean up any messes from the food. Speaking of food, there is a large table with many delicious meals to choose from, from classy foods to simpler snacks such as chips and even a bit of treats for the children and others who enjoy sweets. And of course, beverages are present, such as punch, water, soft drinks, and even a bit of wine for the adults. Off to the side is an ice box, which may in fact contain sea salt ice cream.

Similar to the last ball, there is a comfortable area set off to the side for those who would rather relax, maybe take a break from dancing. It consists of comfortable chairs and couches for the guests, and even smaller tables for beverages.

Of course, the main attraction is the dance floor itself, which is dimly lit by a chandelier and the occasional candles here and there. The aforementioned music at the moment is classical, a sort of waltz and seems to be coming from no apparent source-- but one may notice somewhere in the ball room that Mickey himself is present, dressed not only in proper masquerade attire, but also with a familiar hat.

Anyone is welcome to enjoy the ball. However, if trouble should arise Mickey does have a Keyblade and would be more than willing to intervene; this is meant for enjoyment, not violence.]

[looks awfully embarrassed, but he straightens, lifting a hand to run his fingers through his hair awkwardly.]

*giggles a little, but closes her eyes and tilts her face up a little, leaning towards you -- now's your chance, Sora!*

[oh god he fails at girls so hard -- but this is a message he understands perfectly clear, and he leans down again to accept her invitation. nothing too intense, it's very sweet, and he lingers just long enough to get a good taste.]

*she probably tastes faintly like the pineapple she was snacking on earlier, and just a light coat of lip gloss; her heart skips a beat, because this is probably the sweetest kiss she's ever had, unlike her Soras awkward fumbling when they were younger, or Ri's playful ones, or Namine's shy ones -- she really likes this feeling, and it shines in her eyes when you pull away*

[give him a minute to recover; she's literally stolen the air right from him. he doesn't pull away immediately, but instead presses their foreheads together gently, returning the bright smile as their breaths mingle.]

*laughs and grabs your hand, leading you out of the ballroom -- it's so stuffy, and there are so many people and eyes and she just wants to get away*

[that works perfectly for him -- he laughs lightly, and lets Kairi lead him where she will. he's feeling any nervousness that might have lingered melt right off.]

*she gets about halfway down the hall, before remembering that she has no idea where the pool is, and slows down, wondering where to go*

[that's quite all right; Sora gently tugs her in the right direction! he's a bit caught up in the moment, and it isn't occurring to him that he might need swim trunks, oh well.]

*she laughs and follows, her fingers lacing with his and hasn't even realized that she might need a swimsuit, too! and oops, she just lost a heeled-shoe, and might have tripped*

[whoops! he stops short, and will make an excellent cushion for Kairi's fall, if she doesn't regain her balance in time. either way, he's got his held out to catch her.]

*she does trip, but the hold on her helps stabilize her, and she slips her shoe back on, and takes off running in them*

[and once he's registered that taunt, he takes off running after her! there are still some lingering side effects from the Infection, though, so he might wind up running much faster than expected.]

*will be appropriately impressed and tries her best to run faster, but the heels slow her down and she just bursts out laughing, until they reach the door, coming in second*

[his expression is actually sort of funny -- his eyes are wide, like he hadn't meant to do that .. and then he blushes.]

*just grins and opens the door, her eyes wide when she sees the pool -- it's no beach, and no pool-at-home, but it's impressive and looks fun*

I like coming to this pool, because no one's hardly ever here. It's relaxing.
