THE BALL

[Today is the day of the ball, and as such the entry to the Grand Ball Room is wide open, a sound of music echoing through the halls. Not too far away are signs pointing to the general area, intended to help those who are new as well as remind those who are interested.

The room itself seems incredibly clean, thanks to a few enchanted brooms, some of which are still there to clean up any messes from the food. Speaking of food, there is a large table with many delicious meals to choose from, from classy foods to simpler snacks such as chips and even a bit of treats for the children and others who enjoy sweets. And of course, beverages are present, such as punch, water, soft drinks, and even a bit of wine for the adults. Off to the side is an ice box, which may in fact contain sea salt ice cream.

Similar to the last ball, there is a comfortable area set off to the side for those who would rather relax, maybe take a break from dancing. It consists of comfortable chairs and couches for the guests, and even smaller tables for beverages.

Of course, the main attraction is the dance floor itself, which is dimly lit by a chandelier and the occasional candles here and there. The aforementioned music at the moment is classical, a sort of waltz and seems to be coming from no apparent source-- but one may notice somewhere in the ball room that Mickey himself is present, dressed not only in proper masquerade attire, but also with a familiar hat.

Anyone is welcome to enjoy the ball. However, if trouble should arise Mickey does have a Keyblade and would be more than willing to intervene; this is meant for enjoyment, not violence.]

[his face flushes bright red again, and he answers without even taking a breath.]

Of course I will.

*it's obvious from the look on her face that her brain is going 'eeeeeeee!!!'*

[he thinks that's the prettiest she's been all night, and leans in to steal another kiss; he's a little hasty but hopefully he doesn't catch her too off guard.]

*she is more than happy to engage in that kiss, tasting chlorine and something distinctly Sora, wrapping her arms around his neck*

[he'll definitely prolong this one as long as he can, and there's something eager and excited about the way he kisses her, but Sora's managing to stay gentle, somehow, his hand resting on her cheek.]

*Kairi is a good 4 years younger, so it's good to stay gentle with her -- but that's not to say she's not pouring her own affection into this kiss, not too terribly keen on letting Sora go, herself*

[Kairi might bump against the wall of the pool gently, as Sora had been unconsciously marching them towards the edge -- he doesn't really have to hold on to her anymore with the wall there for support, but he does anyway, one arm still wrapped around her middle snugly.]

*she makes a little surprised sound when he does that, and flushes slightly, one hand sneaking up to stroke the soft hair at the nape of your neck*

[he breaks away, but only for a few seconds to huff a pleased little sigh -- his hand has traveled down her cheek to grip her arm, but Sora won't let it wander anywhere else. he would need encouragement from Kairi beforehand.]

*she's glad when he kisses her again, and isn't going to move too fast, but does part her lips just a bit to get a better taste -- nothing too racy*

[it does excite him more to feel that -- luckily they're going slow enough so that he doesn't get too riled up too quickly -- and he directs all of his focus on keeping his pace slow and steady, and maybe giving Kairi's arm an affectionate squeeze.]

*she sigh softly and pulls away from him for a moment to catch her own breath and smiles, her cheeks dusted with a soft flush*

Sora...

*she shouldn't be, but she's already thinking of how sad she's going to be when they have to part for the night*

[smiles gently down at her, reaching up to hush her with a fingertip.]

Shhh. We've still got time.

*smiles against that finger and pecks it*

O-Okay. But this is getting really heavy.

*and under the water, she unzips her dress and lets herself sink down into the water, coming up in just her black slip, her dress billowing separately in the water*

... there, that's better. I felt like an anchor.

[had politely averted his eyes while she was doing that, although he's having a difficult time doing so now.]

It looked really good on you, though.

*is proud, and no worries, there's nothing to be seen, except the outline of her figure*

Thank you... I'm kind of dreading the cold walk back to my room, though.

I can find you a bunch of towels and blankets, if that makes you feel better.

*smiles*

Crawling in bed tonight will be nice. I'll have nice thoughts to keep me warm.

*s-sappy*

We can just... run back.

[grins.]

That works! It's getting kinda chilly right here too, though.

[kicks back, and starts swimming around lazily.]

*well she'll just sink under water again and show off what a mermaid she can be, swimming along close to the bottom of the pool, before coming up in the more shallow end, standing*

Well, let's get out of here then.

Alright. Stay there, I'll go find something you can wrap up in.

[is a man on a mission! he pulls off the sopping wet dress shirt once he's out of the pool, and starts digging around for towels.]

*normally, she would protest not doing things for herself, but she climbs out, hauling the dress out as well and draping it over the back of a chair*

Don't forget about yourself... ! Don't catch a cold, Sora...

[not to worry, Sora may be grabbing towels and blankets to keep Kairi warm, but he comes back with a towel over his shoulders. once he's walked back, he carefully wraps a towel around her. he seems to enjoy being chivalrous.]

*she thinks that's pretty sweet, and wraps the towel snugly around her body; she's gonna ruffle Sora's hair with the towel and giggle at it*

... you look like a freshly fluffed... corgi puppy or something.

A punk one though, right?

[actually, his hair does sort of look punk, spiked high and off to one side.]

those are almost the only types of shirts I wear nowadays >_>

Well, it's summer! Those are good to wear. And with all your traveling...

yeah! they don't aggravate sunburns either >____>

true DX Have you tried the spray-on aloe vera? It's great.

my aunt has giant aloe vera plants, and she gave me giant cuts of leaves. it's gooey but it works!

I miss my aloe plants! They were so cool!
